SheWolf;1059107436]I don't agree with Conservatives on a lot of things, like social issues. What's wrong with being an Independent?
You said Bush stabilized the banks with tarp.. Post 104. Government intervention and bailing out the reckless saved the banks, according to you... Post 104!
So the media was blowing things out of proportion when the economy was bad when Bush was in charge, but when Obama took over.. then the economy really is on the brink!!! OMG!
Obama did do jack to save the economy.. The same type of jack, Bush did to save the economy; bailouts and stimuls. The question isn't weather or not he did ANYTHING, but weather or not he did the RIGHT things.
If you are so convinced that you are right, then why is it so d**n hard to enlighten me right here on this board? Why should I have to go to this and that website, and read and read until I am convinced you are right?
That is weak!
[/QUOTE]If you are trying to convince me of something, you have to present the facts and the argument yourself..
I have talked to you in other threads. I know you make big claims and loosely cite things is speech but never post links, even when pressed to do so..
This is not rhetoric!!!!Results matter, not rhetoric.
Nothing, but that doesn't make you right.
Right, keep ignoring that I also said that economists made that claim and that is what I stand by. Obama claims he brought us back from the brink, by doing what?
The numbers didn't show an economy that bad. according to the media we were in a recession most of the Bush term so finally it happened due to the financial crisis. Do actual results actually matter to you? GW Bush economy added 4.5 trillion to the GDP, the highest dollar amount ever added to GDP, From 2001 through 2007 Bush economy created 8.5 million jobs and he inherited a recession, had 9/11, and then had the financial meltdown. Those are the facts that you want to ignore. Get the facts as they make you look less foolish except to liberals who always ignore facts. Independents get the facts, you seem to be buying the rhetoric yet claim you are an independent. There is nothing independent about your rhetoric.
As you stated Obama hasn't done anything that you like yet you claim he did something to save the economy so what was it? What bailout did Obama do that saved the economy? Economists think it was TARP which again was a Bush program. Why don't economists credit Obama?
Facts matter, not rhetoric, get those facts from non partisan sites instead of partisan ones. bea.gov, bls.gov, and the U.S. Treasury are non partisan and have the data that refute your rhetoric about Bush accomplishments and support my position regarding Obama's results.
I have given you the sites, bea.gov, bls.gov, and have actually posted spreadsheets from those sites. I had hoped you would go to the sites and explore it because when I post the actual links they get ignored. You want GDP growth, that is at bea.gov, you want employment that is bls.gov, you want spending, that is at bea.gov and the U.S. Treasury Department. If you don't like the Bush numbers how can you not just hate the Obama numbers?
Tell me what numbers you want and I will educate you further.
SheWolf;1059107585]Wow... just, wow..
Both parties have been WRONG in the past. No party is RIGHT all the time. It's a matter of opinions.. You have no respect for differing views. You are out of touch with reality if you think this is about wrong and right, and not figuring things out as a country and IMPROVING.
So do you think TARP worked or not?
Do you think the economy has improved or not?
We aren't talking about the Bush economy.. we are talking about the recession and role of TARP. Stop trying to distract and turn everything into more and more partisan hackery. Just stay on topic please.
I have already answered this question... extension of TARP, the stimulus package, and bailing out the auto industry. That is what he DID. Weather or not it WORKED, is a different issue.
Again.. we are not talking about GDP growth under Bush. We are talking about TARP and the current economy.
