"The more I read and the more I listen, the more apparent it is that our society suffers from an alarming degree of public ignorance," O'Connor said.

That ignorance starts in the earliest years of a child's schooling, she said, but often continues all the way through college and graduate school.

O'Connor argued that learning about citizenship is just as important for American children as learning multiplication or how to write their names.

"We have to ensure that our citizens are well informed and prepared to face tough challenges," she said. "If there is a single child not learning about civics or not being exposed to what they must do as citizens, then all our lives are poorer for that."

To combat what she sees as a dangerous lack of civics in schools, O'Connor founded icivics.org, a website for educators and students. The site uses games, lesson plans and activities to make learning about government and citizenship less boring.

Most of that ignorance can be found in the voting lists of the Demokrats.

Demokrats love ignorance, and their destruction of our schools, their dislike of America breeds ignorance.

Ignorance is vital to the Demokrats survival as a party. It's what allows them to push their Socialist agenda "FORWARD", for Socialism is attractive to the intellectually lazy (ignorant)... and the parasitic.

The Demokrats should have as their slogan... CHANGE... Through Ignorance!

O-Ba-Ma... O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...O-Ba-Ma...

This coming from Sandra Day O'Connor is hilarious. Yes, you should teach them all about the first amendment and how flag burning is not protected speech, or perhaps you should tell them all about the commerce clause and how the government is in control over commerce, or how about how the court should use international law instead of the US constitution. Sorry, but justices should not speak of ignorance and she is one of the worst in this regard.

I gather that spelling it "Demokrats" is not supposed to be a sign of ignorance on your part.

No one ever said that voting for someone meant you had to support all of their policies, you know ;) Just like marrying someone doesn't mean you have to love their cooking or their career choices.

Sandra has been exhibiting signs of dementia for some time now, going back to even before she retired.

So when you voted for Bush, you agreed with ALL his policies huh?

I'd be willing to bet that there was a LARGE contingency of people who simply didn't know or didn't CARE what 0bama's policies were as they voted for that incompetent hack.

They voted for him because he had a "D" behind his name.
They voted for him because of the color of his skin.
They voted for him because he promised free stuff to the losers of society.

Part 1... Correkt :)

Part 2... ROTFLOL... It's more than a marriage this president thing, and if you ask the school kids what they think of Michelle's cook'in... nevermind...

Well... let's put it this way... I knew what they were. I wanted Alan Keyes to get the nomination. I agreed with most everything, if not everything he put forth.

I didn't like that Bush turned into his father regarding spending, trying to get along with the likes of Dead Kennedy, and his behavior on the bail-out. That stuff wasn't exactly predictable, but Obama's incompetence was predicatable. During the campaign he revealed what a nincompoop he was in regards to economics and foreign policy. His background with Marxists, terrorists and radikals showed he had pathetic judgment. So what did that leave us with???

It left us with an untested radikal who had some un-American ideas for the country... and fundamentally wanted to change it. He has... we're seeing that... our economy sucks... and our foreign policy is in tatters.

Well, attempt to sound intellectually superior is a fail, here.

Very well said.

That's odd... I was actually being diplomatic, and poking a little fun. Had zero to do with intellectual superiority... and on that subject, you don't have to be intellectually superior to swat Socialists around like flies. You simply have to be informed on the issues and have a good dose of common sense...

...That's why Demokrats love the ignorant and the youth vote. For the latter many have a blinding utopian world view, and the foundation of that world view is a lack of experience or understanding of how the world works. They have failed to learn we're individuals, not some cog in a It Takes a Village Idiot Collective.

So in other words, no, you didn't agree with everything Bush did. Your hypocrisy is noted and your idiotic comments refuted. Good day

I do believe I explained where I disagreed with Bush most. Not satisfied? ROTFLOL... tell me what hypocrisy you believe I've committed... and what idiotic comments?

Instead of being more vague than a whore in a bar hoping she's not picking up a cop... how about being a wee bit specific?
