Sanders supporters have a point

I think one of my favorites is

Support for Treating Autism in Military Health Care: Sanders worked with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) to pass an amendment by a vote of 66-29 ensuring that the military's TRICARE system would be able to treat autism.


Why? Because it was the VA that diagnosed MY autism, that's why.
I might have wondered, I might have suspected, but I never actually got a diagnosis until I was 47 years old and happily married.
I don't want to derail this thread by describing what words are almost too puny to describe where learning of your own autism is concerned.
It almost deserves its own thread, except this is a politics forum, so maybe not here.

It was a very profound experience.
Thank you Bernie, for helping me learn to understand my life and for giving me even more tools to help make my life make sense.

This is typical of the Bernie Bots. They are so much smarter than everybody else, and Bernie is the savior sent to lead us all to the promised land. In their own peculiar way, they are as crazy as the Trumpies. Not surprising to me that many of them will vote for the racist demagogue.
 
Some time ago, I made the claim that Sanders knew he could not win and that this race was his last stab at making millions before retirement.

Bernie's mailing list is worth millions.

Past practice shows that anything left in the campaign chest belongs to Bernie and he is allowed to do whatever he likes with it, just like Republican Christine O'Donnell did in 2010. (She paid her mortgage.)

To further make my point, tonight (as he sort of melts away into the sunset) he is giving a video appearance and you can only watch it if you give your mailing address.

And, wouldn't yuh know, they sent me an e-mail and told me that they needed my phone number too.

Bernie's mailing list and telephone list is gonna be worth a zillion dollars.

The thing about political primaries is that all the candidates running are supposed to be on the SAME side. Sanders understands this or at least he did when he started. Why are so confused then? Sanders will not accept or be offered the VP spot so that is done. The fact that you "don't care who wins" underscores the futility of pandering to types like you. The only "harsh reality" you should be thinking about is what happens after the election. Does Sanders and his movement fall into oblivion because of a Trump win or does it live to fight another day? You do understand that there will be no point in a progressive movement if Trump appoints 4 new right wing SC justices during his reign. hell he may even outlaw progressives outright. He certainly won't work with them like Hillary would.

Wow that is big news...Headline in fact.... DNC FAVORS LONGTIME DEMOCRAT OVER SOCIALIST CANDIDATE IN DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY!
But the voters still made the decision and it wasn't even close.

Jack wants the Republicans to over-rule the voters and pick someone other than Trump and that would be "fair" to him. The hypocracy is rampant here.

Yet another document leaked by Guccifer 2.0 is titled “HRC election plans,” which is a two-page list of talking points. Clinton has repeated many of these talking points verbatim on the campaign trail. One remark, “Americans have fought their way back from tough economic times but the deck is still stacked for those at the top,” comes directly from the video Clinton released announcing her 2016 campaign.
These leaked emails appear to cast doubt on the claims of DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who has been insisting that neither she nor anyone else in the DNC favored Clinton over Sanders throughout the primary. In April, when The Daily Show‘s Trevor Noah interviewed Wasserman Schultz, she held fast to her claims of neutrality:
TREVOR NOAH: Many people feel Bernie is being cockblocked by the DNC. Is there any merit to this?
DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: You know, as powerful as that makes me feel, I’m not doing a very good job of rigging the outcome, or… blocking anyone from being able to get their message out.

As of this writing, neither Schultz nor the DNC have publicly commented on the leaks.

Again it is absurd to think Hillary wasn't the favorite among DNC leaders and that the primary votes that won Hillary the nomination are any less valid. Sanders is not even a Democrat!
Now it is up to Sanders to decide whether he wants to speak at the convention or continue to fight the inevitable .

I'm just amused by the public dishonesty of the DNC Chairwoman. Dems may need to reset if HRC gets indicted.

You have information that the votes in the Democratic Primary were fixed? I'de need a link for that and you don't have one because it is a lie.
If vote fixing were that easy the GOP surely would not have let Trump win. And he did win fair and square. Now YOU want to "fix" it. Ironic huh?

They exerted what little influence they had to endorse their pick, just like everyone else.
