The nomination was barely sealed up at the Democratic National Convention before Bernie Sanders, who had campaigned against Hillary Clinton for the party’s nod, went back to being an Independent.

Sanders, who considers himself, officially, an Independent in Congress because his views lean further left than the Democratic party’s platform, caucuses with Democrats. But until declaring an intention to run for the presidency in 2015, he had rarely, if ever, identified as a member of the Democratic Party (he’s been in politics since 1979).

Now he needs to declare his Presidential bid as an Independent and screw Clinton royally! ;)

You can lead a horse to water...

He was never a Democrat.

He voted the same as Hillary Clinton 93% of the time. Is she a Democrat?

She is a member of the Democratic Party. Sanders is not. He caucuses with the Dems, though. Just as some independents have caucused with the Republicans.

I hate to repeat myself but....

Surprise!

Surprise!

Surprise!

again...

He's all used up. Low energy. LOL

He was just passing through.

More like passing Gas!

But, he could really **** her up if he did something crazy. That's his nickname ya know....:lamo

Over a 1,000 of his supporters walked out when he got on stage and prostituted himself for the old cow.

I've had several of his supporters tell me that they will not vote at all, or will vote Trump out of spite....I'm sure there are a few million who feel the same!

Maybe his campaign was a hoax to begin with....

he won't do that. a Senate with Hillary as president is one where he might matter. A senate with Trump as president is going to be one where Sanders views aren't going to go very far (though perhaps you could claim that if Sanders does screw Cankles over, Trump's gonna reward him handsomely )

Now that.....I can get behind! Figuratively speaking of course! :lamo

Well, his run is done, so it's only natural.

He was better at being a democrat than any of the establishment names now that I think about it, but that's another story for another time.

I'm happy Sanders ran though.

Bernie can call himself whatever he wants...but when he votes with Democrats 95% of the time...that pretty much makes him a Democrat.

Maybe after the Republican Party implodes over the Trump candidacy, Sanders will be offered Paul Ryan's position. That should give him a nice bully pulpit.

It didn't take Comrade BS long to jump ship, if he was ever on it.

He was never a Democrat.

Yup. He ran as a Democrat simply because you don't have a prayer of getting elected unless you have the packing of one of the two major parties - which is wrong beyond words but that's another story.

If I was HRC I'd be doing a lot of soul searching over the fact that Bernie, who isn't a democrat, did so well against me. But then I can, once in a great while, actually muster up some introspection. Not sure that she can.

Or it make the Democrats Socialists.
