[Sanctions] Herr Scholz Urges Prudence.

The West needs to do to Putin and his Russia what Kremlin is working superhard to do to the USA, ie, wreck it.

NATO & EU with their sanctions in the pipeline should Putin go into Ukraine again means to smoke 'em in the Kremlin this time around.

Cripple 'em is the word I'm seeing and hearing from just about everyone with the authority to decide which sanctions and how much of 'em.

Cripple 'em.

You may be right on that. :) The Europeans have to work that out. Me, I am just the humble advocate of the Dictator. :)
Being's how you're a Russia Fanboi you'd need to make that plural, ne c' est pas?

DictatorS.

After all Russian Dictators are many and go back a long way, Putin being only one of 'em. I mean, who can forget Your Goon Dictator Uncle Joe Stalin eh. Paranoid schizophrenic mass murderer and butcher that The Dictator Stalin is in history. So while Vlad has his place, Putin is a Little Dictator next to Stalin. It just seems y'all don't make 'em like you used to any more over there in Russia. Maybe your women need to beef up the borscht cause Putin's a *****cat next to Stalin.

The one thingy for sure is that Russia will never be an ally of the USA, UK, France again as Your Beloved Russia had been in WW II. Indeed, Russia and Germany have checked out on the West, for sure, given together they are working against NATO each day and for a long time now. Marching in goosestep together as one.

So tell me, how much more time before Germany has a Dictator again? Inquiring minds want to know thx.

Now everyone wants Germany to arm up. I am not sure that is a wise thing. If Germans get back to the military business what do you think happens next? Right now Germans are as meak as mice. Which is a good thing. If the man builds himself up a formidable army what stops him from throwing his weight around? For better or for worse, Germany has been a repeat offender. I will prefer Germany remains on parole a while longer
You're on a diversionary trail.

And I say trail, not a path as in 'pathfinder'. That is, you're following rather than leading.

Germany needs to stop obstructing NATO members providing arms to Ukraine. Because while Germans diminish the capacity of Ukraine to resist Russian aggression and territorial greed, Germany does nothing to obstruct or prevent Russian military capabilities and capacity. Germans don't see or they simply reject two things: one Germany is diminishing the capability of Ukraine soldiers to fight more effectively; second, that Germany is enabling Russian forces to kill more Ukraine armed forces personnel and civilians too.

NATO requires that Germany be an ally not an obstruction of the allies while providing gain and benefit to the Russian aggressor. Indeed it's being said Germans have qualms about providing German made weapons via the Baltic states to kill Russian soldiers, yet no one is hearing any concern out of Germany over the killing of Ukraine military combatants and civilians too.

This is more than shameful.

Immoral comes to mind.

Prudence reigns....

Germany agrees to axe Nord Stream 2 if Russia invades Ukraine

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock gives a joint press conference with her counterpart from Luxembourg (not pictured).

The United States and Germany appear to have agreed that the Russia-favoured Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will not come to life if Russia invades Ukraine, according to statements from the two countries’ officials.

The first indication came from the US State Department, which said that Nord Stream 2 will not move forward if Russia invades Ukraine, in a significant strengthening of the West’s previous position on the strategically vital gas supply. “I want to be very clear: if Russia invades Ukraine one way or another, Nord Stream 2 will not move forward,” State Department spokesperson Ned Price stated on Wednesday (26 January). “I’m not going to get into the specifics. We will work with Germany to ensure it does not move forward.”

On the same day, Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock appeared to carry the same message to the Bundestag. “In the case of a new act of aggression, we have a broad bandwidth of responses at our disposal, including Nord Stream 2,” she told MPs. Emily Haber, Germany’s ambassador to Washington wrote on Twitter that “the US and Germany jointly declared last summer: if Russia uses energy as a weapon or if there is another violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty, Russia will have to pay a high price.” From the perspective of Kyiv, Nord Stream 2 will allow Russia to stop transiting gas via Ukraine, which has served as an insurance policy against militaristic advances on its soil. The CEO of Ukraine’s Naftogaz, Yuriy Vitrenko, told CNN on Tuesday that the new German government had an important choice to make – “to decide if they are with the free world or if they will collaborate with Putin”.
Another Ukrainian official, Sergiy Makogon, chief of the Gas Transmission Operator of Ukraine, told Die Welt that if Nord Stream 2 gets certified and starts operations, gas prices for Europeans will increase. Gazprom will control every access, and then prices will rise, also for Germany,” Makogon said. Conversely, Russia’s narrative is that Ukraine’s ageing pipes could “burst at any time”.

Scholz will travel to Washington Feb. 7 to make a joint statement with Potus Biden. So as indicated, prudence reigns.

And how cute from the Kremlin Krime Mafia thugs that "Ukraine's ageing pipes could 'burst at any time.'" Facts are that Ukraine pipeline maintenance is top of the line and world class. It is entirely Russian propaganda and lies that the Ukraine overland pipeline system and its giant underground storage tanks are "ageing" or run down. That's complete Russian bullshit.

And it's been Russian bullshit all along over the past decade that NS2 will deliver Russian gas directly, ie, cheaply, to Germany and western Europe. We are seeing gas prices triple as the direct result of Kremlin & Gazprom blackmail attempts to certify the pipeline as the monopoly Putin always intended it to be so that he and Gazprom can have the determining role in setting prices which will remain high. Very high. In violation of EU and German laws against monopoly and anti market price manipulation.

Bundestag member Lars Klingbeil the newly elected SPD chairman got the party behind NATO vs Russia in a special meeting of the presidium Monday...

Lars Klingbeil wants to clarify the SPD’s Russia course

According to SPD co-leader Lars Klingbeil, Russia must expect a “tough and consistent” response from the West if it violates Ukraine’s borders. The leadership of the SPD is united on this issue, said Klingbeil on Monday evening on ARD after a meeting of around 20 leading social democrats on the subject of Russia. “All options are on the table,” he emphasized when asked whether the Baltic Sea pipeline Nord Stream 2 could also be subject to sanctions in the event of war. “But it’s also about preventing a war in the middle of Europe,” stressed Klingbeil. That is the priority for the coming days and weeks."

SPD in December elected as its co-leader Bundestag member Lars Klingbeil, 43, who is strongly supported by the quarter of party members who are aged under 35. Klingbeil is widely credited with a disciplined pursuit of his campaign strategy in last year's election to focus on Scholz to lift the party from oblivion in the polls to its first place finish in the Sept. 26th federal election.

The federal government led by the SPD has come under increasing international criticism in recent days for its actions in the Ukraine crisis. Germany is accused of not putting enough pressure on Russia during the crisis. Scholz had hesitated for a long time before clearly positioning himself. In the USA, the question is also being raised as to whether Germany is still a reliable partner. The SPD presidium had already placed itself behind Chancellor Scholz’s line at a closed meeting a week ago. However, Schröder and [former foreign minister] Gabriel – both of whom are now no longer active in party politics – distanced themselves from the party line. Schröder accused Ukraine of “saber rattling” on Friday, and Gabriel then called for a discussion about arms sales "without taboos."

Indeed, during the special meeting Putin's Poodle Schroederovsky accused Ukraine of preparing to invade Russia. The former chancellor is Putin's Great Trophy in his pursuit of State Capture in Germany and as is his sinister design for European leaders. SPD chairman Lars Klingbeil stepped away from the former chancellor, however: “Many can express themselves,” he said about Schröder. “But we, the current SPD leadership, will decide. The escalation comes from Russia. Now it’s a matter of having as many talks as possible and organizing peace."

Kevin Kuehnert, a longtime rival to Scholz and a flaming member of the SPD’s left wing, is the party’s new general secretary. Kuehnert, 32, has spoken strongly in favor of NS 2 approval, certification and its operation. Putin owns him as a part of the Kremlin's State Capture of the Berlin political elites, ie, SPD starting with Willy Brandt and most recently the CDU led by Angela Merkelov.

The long and the short of it is that Scholtz the compliant bystander will be in Washington Monday Feb. 7 for a joint press session at the White House with Potus Biden. I could expect to see Scholz walk out with an axe on his shoulder with "Nord Stream 2" stenciled on the handle and "Made in the USA" stamped on it.

Putin and Schroederovsky having a gay time of it. Schroderovsky has called Putin "the perfect democrat."
