No the kids didn't. And neither did Mom, at least in terms of legality. It's just a bad fit. Mom needs to determine what's in her kids' best interests - the high income from her porn career, or the kids' private Catholic education. Only she can determine that, and frankly it's none of our business.

Would the bad fit argument apply in other cases. Let's say they find out one of the parents is a jew or a Muslim. Would that be grounds for expulsion for being a bad fit?

'They' are not 'punishing the kids', Vance. Mom made a conscious decision to violate the standards & norms of the institution. Where the kids will now go to school is on here, it's her decision to make.

If the action is being done againat their will and wishes, then they are punishing the kids. This isnt unlike the teacher that got fired for being a porn model that was discussed on this site.

Seriously...I do not understand the big deal. It may be somethign she should take to her pastor about..but it shouldnt impact the kids.

Yeah right. A kid's mother posts porn videos of herself online, this becomes publicly known as is inevitable - and you say that will have no impact on the kid? When you were a kid, did other kids have porn pictures and videos of your mother talking about wanting to bang your mom?

Can you image the hysterical ranting if the school told the children that their mother is engaging in sinful activities - as is church doctrine? Kids in Catholic schools are supposed to be Catholics being taught Catholic doctrine. Teaching "your mother is sinful and going to hell if she doesn't stop and repent" isn't the superior option to telling her "find another school for your children because you are engaged in sinful conduct and we will have to tell this to your and other children as is our religion's doctrine now that this is known. We would prefer not to do that for the children's sake."

Jews & Muslims are allowed in Catholic Schools, and I've gone to school with plenty of non-Catholics, particularly at the high school & especially the university level. The only consideration required is to meet the standards of the institution.

A Catholic education, especially at the grammar school & high school levels, is a values education. There are codes of conduct to follow, including academic progress and conduct in one's interaction with the student body and faculty & administration.. Do what you need to do personally, and you'll have no problems.

Straight-up, one of the draws is the codes of conduct & the selective nature of Catholic Schools. The schools will go out of their way assist those who are deficient academically, behaviorally, or economically. They will work with kids & families to fix problems. But, they expect to see effort & progress. If a reasonable effort is not made by those kids & families that are having difficulties, yes - the will be asked to leave. No Catholic School is going to allow disruption of the student body by students or families that are not trying to meet the intuition's standards. It's not fair to the other students & families. And the families very much like it like that. I know I do!

My fervent hope is that the school has said and will say absolutely nothing to any of the children or other parents. If it's an elementary school only, it's not bound by FERPA, but my guess is that the school would remain silent anyway.

That may not be possible since kids have Internet access and this very well could become the talk of the school among the students requiring it be addressed. That is likely what the school wants to avoid.

Perhaps. There's no set rules for this. As you rightly point-out, the Pastor makes the ultimate decision as to what transpires in his Parish, including the school.

I hadn't thought about that. At best, such bad judgment, and I did get the sense that they were all about growing their business. I watched the video and the husband's assent to mom's "We've done nothing wrong" made me shake my head. Well, yes, you have; you've hurt your own boys. As I say, I feel very sorry for them.

You know what we have a VERY LONG HISTORY OF? Children of porn stars.

Whenever people talked shit about my mother I beat their ass. I literally destroyed classrooms exacting vengeance on people for saying things about my mother even jokingly. Thats because I didnt have one. Kinda struck a nerve.

Theres worse things than having a mother who posts nude pictures of herself behind paywalls online.
