I think the decision sucks too. They get to stay filthy rich and cannot be sued any more. I guess the only saving grace is Perdue Pharma no longer exists, and much of the 6 billion will go to the victims families. IMO, they should have had to pay way more.

Still, they've taken the rights of these individuals away from them; they ALL deserve their day in court.

What's worse, is Dr. Sackler who was heavily involved in the development of this drug tearfully apologized on camera today about the loss of life her drug caused.

BULLSHIT! They said in the 90's this drug was safe, not addictive. BALD FACE lie and they knew it.

Considering that they were almost single-handedly responsible for the entire North American opiate epidemic, they got away with murder.

$6 billion won't cover all the rehab, damage to communities, overdose deaths and loss of economy that these criminal drug pushers got away with causing. Entire segments of society have been ravaged and the problem continues to spiral. It will take decades to recover if we ever do.

I'm sick of these big players getting slaps on the wrist for ruining literally millions of people. There is no justice. The fines need to be way, way steeper, or hard time or the death penalty need to be involved. Money, loss of freedom and death are the only things these psychopaths understand.
