Saakashvili tries...

N

Nino

Well, I’ve decided to inform you that during recent official meetings of some senior officials of Saakashvili’s entourage with US deputy assistant secretary for European and Eurasian affairs, Tina Kaidanow, they’ve discussed not only “furthering of democracy” in this country and issues of upcoming elections (Civil.Ge | U.S. Official Visits Georgia), but also touched the subject of Saakashvili’s new strategy towards our rebellious autonomies Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
The matter is that in reality our current president Saakashvili tries not simply to ensure patronage of his Washington’s bosses in issue of organizing “free and fair elections” here, but he wants to get their indirect sanction to the next military adventure in Abkhazia and South Ossetia in order then, under the pretext of this emergency he will be able to hold oncoming elections here as he wants. It will be good chance to put the heat on our people and oppositional forces, who will certainly feel depressed at the sight of army and police, concentrated in our streets during the elections! It is clear that nobody will want the next repeat of 2007 barbarous massacre, taken place here, in Tbilisi…
