Wow, that's tough to figure out. He attacked a non NATO nation, who was attempting to join NATO that was on his border. Hitler took the easiest nations first, convinced Europe he didn't want more, built up his forces and then invaded Poland.Funny how Russia doesn't seem to be attacking NATO countries yet. Care to take a venture as to why?
The Democratic nations response to Putin is too little too late and only postponing what will likely have to happen to stop him from continuing to rebuild Russia, (USSR).
Hitler began violating the Versailles Treaty from WWI.
1935 - Hitler announced he would begin rebuilding Germany's military. He said only as a defensive force. Nobody did anything. They didn't want war.
March 7, 1936 - Hitler Reoccupies the Rhineland. The area known as the Rhineland was a strip of German land that borders France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
1. Czechoslovakia 1938
The occupation of the Sudetenland, (Jan. 1938) the border regions in the north and west of Czechoslovakia, was the first time Hitler flexed his military muscles in Europe. The region was conceded to Germany by the Czech government in an attempt to avoid war after the Germans made demands for it to be handed over. This happened after Neville Chamberlain persuaded the French not to honor their commitment to defend Czechoslovakia. Hitler takes the rest of Czechoslovakia Jan. 1939For Hitler, this fulfilled two aims. One was to unite the German speaking people of this region with Germany, supporting his goal of a larger, united German nation. The other was that it let him test how far he could push other European powers, who backed down rather than defend Czechoslovakia from German threats.
