... to hide their murders and war atrocities.

An amazingly successful way to wreck your troops' morale.

"Hey, keep that thing out of range of their guns. And tie a few tree branches to it, will ya? We're gonna need that to dispose of your bodies".

They also cremate the bodies of Russian soldiers KIA in theater.

This reduces the number of military burials back home and helps mask the extent of their military losses.

The Russian military has been using mobile crematoriums beginning with Chechnya.

How long before the Russian parents/relatives figure out that their Son/daughter isn’t going to come home?

There is an organization in Russia called the "Union of the Committees of Soldiers' Mothers of Russia" which tries to keep track of soldiers returning from duty safely, reported KIA, and reported MIA.

The cremated soldiers are officially reported as MIA by the Kremlin. It should be dawning on the mothers shortly that Ukraine has become a meat-grinder.

They are also not afraid to take to the streets wearing yellow clothing to identify them. They have done that before. Russian police generally don't like to get rough with the soldiers mothers.

And also saves money since they won't have to pay the families.

Anyone who actually believes this is obviously of extremely limited intelligence.

What are the Russians supposed to do with the bodies?
Are you seriously asking what are Russians supposed to do with the bodies resulting from their war crimes?

With free speech being illegal, it'll be impossible to get an accurate read on their true feelings. The could blame Putin, but only privately. Or they could blame Ukrainians, but even then it will be impossible to know if that blame is real or if they're hamming it up in order to stay within the law. Gauging the true feelings of Russians is like arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
