Russia Suffering Shortages, Struggling to Sustain Troops: Pentagon

Germany was able to replace equipment and develop new weapons efficiently until nearly the end of WW2. Germany couldn't, though, replace soldiers in either the numbers or with the proper training and couldn't supply fuel to even operate military equipment. Similar to what appears to be happening in Ukraine, Soviet forces in WW2 had about twice the loss of soldiers and equipment compared to Germany and other Axis countries. Plus, the US sent many tanks, aircraft, etc. to the Soviets, besides what the Soviets manufactured themselves by US funding. Even in WW1, Russia, then with the allied forces, had about 30% more casualties than Germany and the most casualties of the allied forces. Ukraine will get the fuel, food and equipment necessary to last, though food is currently scarce, as long as they can muster properly trained forces. Russia military capabilities have been historically overestimated. Russia can only come out of this with a bad limp whereas Ukraine will be rebuilt. The entirety of democracy will get a boost whereas the anti-democracy autocracies, incl those anti-democracy Rep/cons in the US, will be setback. As after WW2, there could very well be a resurgence of democracy in the world. Trumps dictator friends will have been kept back from furthering far-RW advancement in the world. That's my hope.
