Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has claimed that Moscow dictated where U.S., British and French forces were allowed to attack in the weekend's airstrikes on suspected Syrian chemical weapons facilities, Sky News reported. Coalition forces destroyed three storage and production sites in response to an alleged April 7 chemical attack on civilians that killed at least 40 people in the rebel-held city of Douma, near Damascus. Russia, which supports Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, denies that a chemical attack took place. Investigators from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons are trying to reach Douma to establish what happened, but are struggling to gain access.
According to Lavrov, Russia had been in contact with the coalition in the days leading up to the attack, dictating its “red lines” beyond which airstrikes would be considered unacceptable. Russian officials had previously warned that any attacks on Syrian territory would result in Russian retaliation. The U.S. and Russia use a so-called “deconfliction” telephone line communication channel to avoid accidental clashes in Syria. The country has become a congested war zone, where multiple nations are fielding forces to pursue differing interests. It is likely the line was used in the run-up to the weekend’s attacks, but for the two sides to be discussing the acceptability of specific targets would be unusual.
Russia Says It Told U.S. Where In Syria It Was Allowed To Bomb
I wonder if Trump had to say 'Please'.
The Kremlin is slapping the US around in public with all manner of propaganda and disinformation, but the only sound from Washington is crickets.
It was obvious from the photos that we spent millions to level empty buildings.
This was just wag the dog moment.

Do you believe them?
Why, or why not?
It's bad because we accomplished nothing. We gave them time to empty the targets and move all chemicals and equipment. They actually told them where to NOT bomb so Russians weren't killed....
And this is bad because?
We have to believe them when it makes Trump look bad...but we are also supposed to disbelieve them when they say anything else.
Funny, isn't it?

A one hour warning would have been sufficient. Best just by dropping flyers. Let the people get away.
Did you see the pics of the rubble? The only debris was concrete.
This was one big was of money, a multi million dallor Target exercise...

We blew up a lab and storage facilities.
While they may rebuild they wont be doing so right away.
CLUE: Many bombing runs in WWII did nothing but temporarily interrupt or decrease production. Guess they were all failures as well.

The Trump Admin hasn't denied it. Like I said, crickets when it comes to Putin and Russia.
The WWII bombing runs were regular and consistent. That's what made them effective. A one time bombing won't have much effect.

But were the strikes failures because they were only temporary in effect?

Your OPINION is noted. On what do you base this OPINION?
Delayed time frame, previous reports that we were in contact with Russia about avoiding Russian troops and equipment.
Photos of the site with only concrete, no twisted metal, ( barrels, desks, chemical tanks,etc..).
Strategic failures, yes. It Trumps strikes were strategically successful, there would be no need to strike, rinse, and repeat.
But were the strikes failures because they were only temporary in effect?
