The so called green groups vehemently deny this of course but let’s see their books and learn exactly who their contributors are. It makes perfect sense that Russia would be backing them.

“Russia spent millions promoting anti-energy policies and politicians in the U.S.," Banks said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Now, thanks to Biden’s war on domestic energy, U.S. oil production has dropped 10%, pushing up prices and enriching and emboldening Putin before he invaded Ukraine."

Interesting and a question...

From your article...

Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., led a letter to Yellen Friday that cites a 2015 Washington Free Beacon report that suggested the California-based Sea Change Foundation may allegedly be a conduit for Russian oil interests in funneling money to groups like the League of Conservation Voters (LCV), the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the Sierra Club and the Center for American Progress.

Ummmmm.... Why did Congressman Banks wait SEVEN YEARS after the article he cites as proof was published before calling for an investigation? Is he not aware that for TWO OF THOSE YEARS the GOP controlled the house, senate and presidency?

The cynical amongst us might think Congress Banks is being insincere and just throwing out bullshit...

If these anti oil groups have nothing to hide they should be more than happy to open their books. It makes perfect sense that Russia would fund them so let’s have a look.

Two questions.

Does anyone else see the irony of Banks complaining about Russian energy interference while also referring to Russian election interference as a hoax?

Also, which energy companies are funding the campaigns of the Banks and the people who are suddenly worried about Russian energy interference?

Anti-oil and anti-energy are not the same thing, not even close. There are better and more efficient ways to meet our energy needs without leaning so heavily on fossil fuels.

So is the congressman just very slow or mentally deficient?
I’m more concerned about Russia funding anti oil groups in America than any particular congress critter.

Anti oil groups in America are Putin’s friend. Let’s look at their books and see just how friendly they are.

But you jumped on an article that relies on a Washington Beacon article from SEVEN YEARS ago... Were you just as concerned about Russia funding COVID conspiracy theories?

You obviously want to talk about anything but the thread subject. Scared to know the truth maybe?

he's actually just pointing out your hypocrisy as you have become the mouth of Fox News here.

Meh... I welcome any investigation the congressman wants to start just find him waiting SEVEN YEARS to be pretty suspect... It's pretty obvious who here on DP works in the oil industry...

And who in congress relies on big oil campaign contributions.

Now these are the kinds of allegations, ifs and maybes the gop can sink their teeth into.

Another smear campaign in the works.

If trump and the folks surrounding him have nothing to hide.....such hypocrisy.

Here's a tip, until it's proven, don't worry be happy.
Interesting how the left is quick to believe all allegations of Russian interference except this one where Putin would obviously profit.
“Follow the money “

Russia if you're listening, blah, blah, blah. I keep having the same dream that trump was asking russia for help during the elections.
