We will know if Moldova is in danger of being invaded if the Kremlin reaches into its playbook and begins to accuse the Moldovan government of 'genocide' against Transnistria's population.

With what? Their army has been severely mauled in Ukraine.

Not in the Eastern and Southern regions of Ukraine.

It would appear Russia is building a corridor to Crimea and then onward to the breakaway region of Transnistria.

Russia hasn't begun to exhaust its military might, one could compare Putin to Stalin in regard to bloodletting and warfare.

Yes, even there. That's why they were redirected from the rest of the country as reinforcements.

As it is well-known Russia has about 1,500 troops stationed in the unrecognized separatists’ republic Transnistria (Republic of Moldova), post-Soviet “frozen conflict” zone, that has eastern Moldovan border with Ukraine.

Putin seems to have his hands full at the present…

I don' share your optimism, tell that to the 1000 surrounded and trapped in Mariupol.

I don't think Russia ever intended to take all of Ukraine just punish, its the east and south they want all the way to Moldova.

Nobody is going to buy Russia's crap. Not after what it's doing in Ukraine.

Ummm.. we know their original plan was to steamroll the country in 48 hours and install a puppet government. They got chewed up and spat out instead. They don't have forces to engage another front.

That's what the West said, we have no idea what Russia's original plan was.

If Russia wanted to, it could bomb the entire country into a barren wasteland.

It appears right now they are consolidating there forces in the Eastern and Southern regions of Ukraine to annex and occupy.

A Russian bridge to Crimea and Transnistria, the writing is on the wall.

Moldova is afraid as they should be.

It depends on whether this or that country sees “believing” Russia as in their best interest

Russia also has an estimated 2 million personnel in its military reserves.

Russia can also conscript new troops ..drafting young Russian men into mandatory service.

Russia is also deploying units of its regional paramilitary internal security forces known as Rosgvardia.

Russia is recruiting Syrians who are skilled in urban combat.

Putin hates the the West an to underestimate his determination or unpredictability is not wise.

It's ironic that Russia talks about oppression, seeing as what they are doing in Ukraine is far from innocent.

It is, Putin is a dangerous tyrannical dictator who over the years has taken many freedoms away from the Russian people.

Yet they lap up his smelly shit, hugely popular in Russia.

Not unlike Trump and his dick licking followers.
