What really would have been amazing had Russia actually admitted that it's FSB and or Putin had actually been implicated in this affair.
On the (albeit flimsy) basis that there is no smoke without fire, any half way sensible person might well agree that some organization controlled by and acting with the authority of someone within Russia had actually sanctioned the attempted murder of this man.
It would not be the first time the Russians had in this way, attempted to silence a critic, it is just a trifle unfortunate that this kind of behavior can be seen as something those in power in the Kremlin are quite willing to authorize.
The more that Russia is seen as veering towards becoming a Fascist Society the more such claims will likely be believed and indeed believable.
