Russia just concluded a deal with Iran that will send 30 TOR-1 SAM missle batteries to Iran to help the nation protect its nuclear power plants and research facilities from an American or Israeli attack. Sales of Russian hardware, which was 6.1 billion last year, is expected to be around 7 billion this year.

Article is here.

Wow Dano, a real live thread that does not mention Bush, not once!:2wave:

Seriously though, this is becoming a very serious situation. Russia knows they can not compete with the U.S, so they are arming the rest of the world, and making some very questionable friends along the way. If we are foolish enough to allow Russia to monitor Irans nuclear "energy" plants, we are certainly going to face a weapons hardened Iran in the future.

Yeah just what the world needs. . .more weapons.

Well, this is how it happens. Our enemies arm other countries, we arm other countries to protect themselves against those countries and then civil wars ensue in these countries. In the end, America will get the blame.

We are arming and training Chad right now. Want to guess why? Sudan has been receiving weapon shipments from somebody....

This should come as no surprise. While the U.N. was projecting the image for 12 years of levying sanctions against Hussein, they were secretly supporting him with the Black market they created!

At the very beginning of the war, the Russians sold Hussein and had in-place GPS jammers specifically designed to jam our weapons, startegically placed at several key sites. Because of this, we had to send in special forces teams to take out the jammers and sites. As a result of the necessity for a more 'hands-on' approach instead of the conventional 'missile' way, we lost several troops. It wasn't until we informed Russia that we would stasrt targeting the sites with 'dumb' bombs that they pulled their people and equipment out so as not to get them killed.

For several years we urged the U.N. to intervene in the genocidal slaughter going on in Africa, but France kept blocking it. We finally went in ourselves with relief effort only to find WHY France had been trying so desperately to keep us out - they were selling the weapons to the rebels who were comitting the genocide!

Russi ranks only 2nd, I believe, to france for the title of International Weapons Whore, selling anything to anyone who has the cash. You might remember when we bombed Khadaffi's RADAR sites years ago that the French were on the ground the very next day assessing the damage and bringing in equipment!

These are the wide known facts that are comfortably forgotten whenever they get the chance to point their hypocritical fingers. The worst part is that our own people ignorantly join their ranks. Don't you love the "Global Left?"

Long live our "allies."

Dont forget about the X-55 missles Iran purchased from the Ukraine a couple of years ago. Those can hit as far away as Italy.

The Bush administration has no imagination, thats a given. The only time they get imaginative is in ways to screw the American working class.
Russia is a bit paranoid, always worried about encirclments. We should send a high level military sales delegation visiting all her neighbors especialy thiose that don't like her like Estonia.
Maybe thatwillbe a wake up call to her that supplying our enemies isnt a good idea.

We sort of are doing that. We have become very close to Georgia. So close that we have Marines training their troops in Marksmanship.

Which is why we need to take some action now. At least take out their nuclear capabilities. Their leader is dangerous to the whole world, why doesn't everyone see that?

The Europeans except for the British have no guts. They almost got their butts whipped by a 3rd rate country called Serbia in the 90's.Today they can't take care of a 4th rate country called Sudan. The people of Darfur better do a lot of Praying because God is the only person who can save them. The Europeans have sold them out for Sudanese oil and the UN can't do anything.

Won't. History has proven that European countries won't lift a finger to do what America will eventually do for them and be the object of all blame and ridicule.

France has publicly accused Iran of secretly wanting to build nuclear weapons. They only did this because "big brother" is standing behind them in the play ground and they are scared of Radical Islam's future and their weapons of choice. If only they were stronger and jumped on the band wagon earlier. Iraq would be in better shape right now.
