I would certainly support him over Hillery. But that is going to depend a lot on his running mate. We learned the hard way that the office of VP is not necessarily a benign position. A lot of damage can come out of there.

But I got my eye on Tommy Thompson. The Dark Horse from Wisconsin.

Lemme tell you folks something. Tommy Thompson was a GREAT governor (unlike Julius George.) He cleaned welfare up. Business was great. He's a conservative with some beliefs that do not coincide with mine but he does not feel the need to shove his beliefs down the throats of others. People like him and want to work with him. He is a hard worker and a results oriented leader. He's not afraid to tip one back with the common man. He has a brother that reminds me of Billy Carter. Everybody has a brother or an uncle I suppose.:3oops:

Tommy is a good conservative who is all for liberty and doing good for his people. And, as far as I know, he ain't no oil tycoon.

I don't think Navy can debate what Paul's talking points are because Paul is a true Conservative. I would never vote for him but at least he wouldn't start a war based on lies, overspend like a drunken sailor, destroy the environment or disgrace our country on the international stage.

I would enjoy debating you Navy Pride on this thread's subject. I will take the Pro Ron Paul side despite my not supporting him (a good debater can debate either side without partisanship) and you can take the anti-Republican, Anti-Conservative side of the debate in your opposition to Ron Paul.

We allow people to join the military at 18....but people can't drink until 21 because we have decided that you don't have good judgement until you have reached that age.

We did. We got rid of Saddam. We established a democracy(of sorts). Mission Accomplished. Lets do what we did with Colombia and ship money to them so they can equip and hire people to train their military against the insurgents. We don't need to do anything else.

LOL you're the second person to ask me that on this forum. No I'm not military. I come from a military family though. I really never understood that either. 20 years old you can grab an m16 but you can't push down a bud?
