It is an interesting exercise. Here we see several dynasties from 27 BCE to CE 285. Many representations are unreliable as they were meant to flatter the emperors although Roman artists introduced the idea of realism.
Gordian I was born in Phrygia (Turkey) and took his own life at age 79 upon hearing of the death of his son at age 46 during the Battle of Carthage, Gordian II in 238 CE. He reigned for only a year with his son.
