Right-wing strategist Roger Stone shared a video clip this weekend of him greeting former President Donald Trump and telling him that Florida's Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, is a "piece of s***."

Trump has spoken favorably of his relationship with DeSantis, but there have been reports of a feud between the two prominent Republicans. The Florida governor is speculated to be considering a potential GOP bid for the party's 2024 presidential nomination, which Trump has also strongly hinted he plans to seek. The former president in January called rumors of tensions between him and DeSantis "fake news."

Stone posted a 14-second video clip to Rumble and then shared the link to Telegram and Gettr on Saturday. The prominent Trump ally titled the clip: "Roger Stone and Donald Trump together again."

The video starts out focused on Trump at what appears to be his Mar-a-Lago club resort in Florida, where he resides.

"Roger, my man, I didn't even see you," the former president says, coming up to give Stone a slight hug. "How can I not see my friend?"

"God bless you," Stone says in response. Trump then says something inaudible before his friend leans in, gesturing with his hand, as he says, "Ron DeSantis is a piece of s***." The video then cuts abruptly.

Stone has previously slammed the governor over what he described as "disloyalty" to the former president.

Stone has never been a fan of DeSantis...and it's clear Team Trump is recognizing a potential threat to Trump's iron fist grip over the GOP. Now, keep in mind that DeSantis is the chosen candidate for the so called "establishment GOP" in 2024...he's the guy they want, and he's the guy the big money GOP backers and powers that be want as the candidate in 2024. The only thing standing in his and the GOP's way in 2024...is Trump. Trump, and the thugs he surrounds himself with, recognizes this reality...hence why Trump every so often is doing an interview bragging about how he made DeSantis (he's correct here), or how DeSantis would never run against him if he runs in 2024 (he's also correct here), or how he would destroy him in the primaries if Ron did run against him (he's also correct here). The GOP recognizes the reality that DeSantis has found an excellent balance between appeasing the Republican establishment, while also appeasing Trump's radicalized far right base at the same time...usually with fake culture war issues like "CRT", or the worthless "don't say gay" bill he signed in Florida that created another manufactured culture war about supposed "grooming" in classrooms, which is another bogus narrative to feed the rubes with. Throw his recent abortion bill in the mix too. DeSantis has done successfully what several other Trump molded GOP politicians like Ted cruz, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, Kristi Noem, etc have tried, but failed to do. He found the right balance, but there's absolutely not a chance in hell Trump just sits back and let DeSantis steal his thunder, especially since he made him relevant in the first place.

My prediction? Trump runs in 2024, and the GOP orders DeSantis to sit out the 2024 race (which you will then see DeSantis come out and claim he won't run because he wants to finish his term as governor, and save Florida from EVIL Democrats, and some other bullshit scripted nonsense he'll recite), because the GOP is wayyyy too terrified of Trump to try what they did in 2015-2016 and back other candidates over him. They aren't going to risk Trump going rogue and taking a large chunk of his base with him, thus they'll keep their mouths shut and ride out the Trump storm...again.

I don't think Trump runs again. He's making a ton of money milking the fan base, running for President is hard work, playing the role of kingmaker strokes his ego, and his pride probably couldn't stand a second loss.

A far more likely scenario is that he feels at some point DeSantis isn't bending the knee enough, and decides to back a candidate who is

A) utterly loyal, but
B) certain to lose, and
C) okay with that, because he's only running to get name recognition up so he can move on to having a show on OAN or FOX.

Much depends on who the Democrats put up. I think the "Will Biden run again" question is more interesting than "Will Trump.

Weird saying, it doesn't. You know he's one but aren't one. You can know someone is a murderer, rapist, tyrant, thief and so one and not be one. I'm not sure how that saying caught on.

POS is young enough to wage his culture war into the 2028 and/or 2032 presidential election. Plenty of time.

Just imagine what the coup attempts and the attack on the capitol would look like if Trump lost again. The country can't go through this all over again.

Trumpism is not a spent force, but, it is a spending force, and Trump wouldn't have the Bully Pulpit to spread that particular lie from - I don't think another Jan 6th would be likely in that scenario, but, I have been wrong before.

If Trump ran and lost again, I don't think there would be another 1/6..

There's no doubt Trump's base is gullible, and easily lead around by their noses. Just look at how easily Trump is still taking money from them. But many seem to slowly realizing that when it comes to 1/6 it's the little people, his base that are being indicted, arrested, and serving time.

The big boys, the people who were behind the scene texting, egging the people at 1/6 on, planning to overthrow the election, those people absolutely NOTHING is happening to them... The politicians are still in power. The media people still have jobs... Thomas is still a judge, And the rest are still free as birds.

"God bless you"? Is Stone referring to the same God that Trump refuses to ask forgiveness of?

With respect, we could use Trump in the White House RIGHT NOW! Things were pretty good with the horrible Orange Man issuing mean Tweets, running things efficiently and achieving the goal(s) of helping the American People.

It makes almost no difference which issue you'd like to discuss, today's state of affairs is bad and is getting worse every minute.

2021 was the first year since 2002 when there was not even one month of negative inflation. We are now suffering the worst inflation in 40 years. No end in sight.

Russia invading Ukraine is pretty famous by now to everyone. Hostages in Afghanistan after the Taliban threw us out is a pretty brutal reminder as well.

Inflation, energy, supply chain, product shortages, real wages shrinking every week... It goes on and on. The possibility of an inverted yield curve has become reality a few times this year already.

Recession is a condition in the bond markets that an inverted yield curve predicts if it lasts for an appreciable length of time. So far, it has only occurred very briefly this year.

Every thing good seems to be going away and everything bad seems to be closing in.

I have found myself hoping that I live a long life, but die before the wheels come off altogether.

The Democrat's creation of excuses explaining why failure is the only possible outcome is not helpful. We need results. Trump delivered them. Biden does not.

Same thing happening all over the world. Blame Biden if it's expedient for you to do so but the situation is a confluence of issues that no political leader ( other than Putin) could control. However, the Dems will pay the price in November not because the current economic situation is their fault but because that's how it works and has always worked.

I disagree on Trump not running, but agree with the rest. Then again, if Trump does not run for whatever reason, it's possible he stays quiet and let's all the candidates "out Trump" each other for his endorsement, and whichever the remaining one stands after the clown show, he endorses? I dunno, I'm from NY and known about Trump for years well before he got into politics, and he doesn't usually sit by and let people take the limelight away from him. Maybe he endorses a loyalist, who will let Trump control him from behind the scenes if that loyalist is elected president? Basically similar to what the left accused Bush/Cheney of, or what the right accuses Biden/Obama of now.

As for Biden, I think he runs again if Trump runs. People don't want to admit it, but there's a decently strong possibility of a Biden/Trump rematch in 2024, as much as it would be bad for the country.

All governors, regardless of party, are politicians and, like all politicians, they are lying thieves.

Does that make them also POS's? Could be.

I believe you are wrong.

The US did not need to pass the inflationary $1.9 TRILLION boondoggle that the Democrats rammed through in March of 2021.

The US did not need to ignore the build up of the Russian military on the border of Ukraine as it happened over the several months between the Afghan pull out and the Ukraine invasion.

The US did not need to cut and run from Afghanistan like drunken cowards at the behest of the Dementia Victim in Chief.

Things don't just happen. They are caused to happen.

Anything you do or don't do today affects what you will need to do or not do tomorrow.

I don't understand how rational people can look at people like Trump, Stone, Desantis, Bannon, Guliani, Gaetz, Boebert, Cawthorne, MTG, etc, and think, "These people are totally normal, they have the best interests of the entire country at heart. They should be running the government or advising about how to run the government."

Are they so distracted by the bloviating and spray tans and helmet hair and expensive clothes that they ignore their own self-preservation radar?
