MSNBC just reported that Roger Stone has been indicted on seven different counts associated with his nefarious activities involving what is believed to be Wikileaks and the Trump campaign and repeatedly lying to FBI agents who interviewed him.

This connects the Trump campaign to events during the campaign to the Wikileaks of the Russian hacks which helped Trump get elected.

WASHINGTON — Roger J. Stone Jr., a longtime informal adviser to President Trump who has spent decades plying the dark arts of scandal-mongering and dirty tricks to help influence American political campaigns, was indicted Friday in the special counsel investigation.

Mr. Stone was charged with seven counts, including obstruction of an official proceeding, making false statements and witness tampering, according to the special counsel’s office.

The indictment is the first public move in months by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, who is investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and possible coordination with Trump associates.

More to come as this develops.

And so it begins. Anybody who didn't see this coming was blind deaf and dumb.

Remember the time when Republicans were up in arms because Obama went to the church where the preacher once said in his sermon, "God-damned America!"

My my... hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaahahahahhahahahahahahahaha.

There seems to be a lot of that going around these days in the deniers camp.

For those who hit a NY Times pay wall, down in the story there are a couple of interesting sentences:

Three senior Trump campaign officials have told Mr. Mueller’s team that Mr. Stone created the impression that he was a conduit for inside information from WikiLeaks, according to people familiar with their witness interviews. One of them told investigators that Mr. Stone not only seemed to predict WikiLeaks’ actions, but also that he took credit afterward for the timing of its disclosures that damaged Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.

In social media posts and numerous interviews before the 2016 election, Mr. Stone indicated that he had advance knowledge that a trove of information damaging to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign might be about to spill into public, and even suggested that he had personally spoken to the WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange.

People on the Trump side have been screaming for evidence of COLLUSION. Request granted.

Stone looks like a chia pet from a cheap Star Trek episode.

#fakenews! #witchhunt! #nocollusion

Document: Indictment of Roger Stone

Jesus H. Christ! This is the second thread on Stone's indictment and it's the second one in which the OP-er didn't bother to include a link to the actual indictment document.

Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving fellow. Out of the piles of human garbage that make up the Trump Campaign, administration, and orbit of people, Stone is up there as one of the worst dredged society has to offer. I hope he rots in prison.

See ya' Roger. Notice how meticulously Mueller pursues and writes his Indictments. Stone can flip or face serious serous time. Where Manafort might actually consider custody a safe haven, Stone won't find anything attractive about an orange jumpsuit, no pinstripes nor pocket square.

Its a national disgrace that lying to the FBI to protect your fellow conspirators is a crime. Same for obstruction.Same for trying to get others to lie to protect you.

Don't hate the player - hate the game.

Or some other self serving garbage like that.

Haven't you been saying the same thing every time a new "bomb shell" story breaks? :peace

LOL! At some point, the number of criminals surrounding Trump simply isn't a coincidence any longer.

For sober, rational adults, that point was reached long ago.

Not exactly the photo of Jack and Bobby Kennedy in the White House figuring out how to stop the Russians in Cuba in 1962 is it?

The soundtrack I would put to the Stone/Manfort pic is "Dirty Deeds Done Cheap".

On second thought - the "cheap" part does not work since they were both high priced whores so never mind.

lol...the denial drugs in the Right Wing medicine cabinet must be mighty powerful. Mighty!

Well, this isn't a bomb shell. Roger Stone himself said he thought he was going to be indicted. It's not particularly rocket science you know.

I wonder what his fellow inmates will think of that big tattoo of Nixon on his back.

:crazy3:

My question is that when they saw this coming, why the hell did they not get rid of all of the evidence? I know that something on the web is never truly gone, but with the power of the presidency I am sure they could have scrubbed all of this out of existence.
