Always knew Rod Rosenstein was a smarmy little creep with a yellow streak a mile wide. Crying to Trump in the Oval at the end begging to be allowed to maintain his GOP credentials.

The FBI turned over its counterintelligence probe to the Special Counsel. We have learned now that at that point Rosenstein told Mueller not to pursue it. Told Mueller to only pursue criminal investigation. So much for any serious investigation into Collusion which is not a federal offense.

No wonder:
- it was painfully obvious to even the casual observer that Mueller's effort was purely a criminal prosecution effort
- the Manafort/Kilmnik material in the Mueller Report simply drops off a cliff edge in the Report. What they released would appear to be what the FBI handed to them at the point the Mueller Special Counsel Probe was announced and no more
- similarly, the Trump Tower meeting also simply drops off a cliff edge in the Miueller Report
- Stone/Wikileaks drops off a cliff edge. If not for Stone being an arrogant whack job, he never would have been charged at all

The Senate Intel Committee report holds so many more details regarding counterintelligence. But make no mistake, Senate Intel Investigators DO NOT have the counterintelligence assets of the FBI or Justice and Mueller would have uncovered even more if he was allowed to pursue it

Russian GRU keyboard junkies were charged. Whoopdie ding-dong. Mueller had to charge them as a means to establish in his prosecutorial effort that material was hacked by the Russians in the first place.

And absolutely no investigation into Trump's finances.

I blame Mueller. He was a terrible investigator. His "interpretation" of the guidelines were absurd. He made no conclusion and punted to Congress and the DOJ.

He should have told Rosenstein to shove it and done a proper and thorough investigation.

Debunked already by Andrew Weissmann

And you know...that must REALLY suck for the Trump haters.

Who to believe?

1. The fake news NYT?

or

2. That corrupt lawyer?

Who decided that “Mueller” the report should be rebroadcast as “Mueller” the movie?

Not debunked.

This is what Andrew Weissman said:
“NYT story today is wrong re alleged secret DOJ order prohibiting a counterintelligence investigation by Mueller, ‘without telling the bureau,'” Weissmann tweeted Sunday night. “Dozens of FBI agents/analysts were embedded in Special Counsel’s Office and we were never told to keep anything from them.”

Not sure any of that is conclusive or even contradictory. I don't know what the Weissmann comment is.
The "without telling the bureau" line is not more than interesting. Those agents may not have been told what the Special Counsel WAS NOT pursuing. However since they were assigned to the Special Counsel they would have pursued what the Special Counsel told them to pursue.

Not sure what Weissmann's intent is here but he is speaking in tongues. Perhaps he thinks Mueller has taken enough incoming over his Probe.
