When I first saw a clip of this, I felt so bad for this family and couldn't imagine how scared the man must have been when they drug him out. I then read elsewhere how there was 6 min minutes of film that wasn't shown. Allegedly he hit/tapped one of of the bikers in front of him, and kept driving. He then ran over several more drivers paralyzing one of them. The other bikers got mad and started pursuing him. The bikers were wrong to take it as far as they did, but now I'm curious to hear the whole story!

Here's the 6 min video. You decide.

He should have pulled over in the first place and wait those bikers pass. His fatal mistake - running over those bike(s).

The biker brake checked him and got hit.
Biker gets off bike and makes threatening gestures, got ran over. I see no problem.

Really? Bikers own the road? I think after he monster trucked the first few he should have backed up and got a few more.

They don't but they are not people to be messed with, especially when they are in hundreds. :peace
Usually such events are escorted by the police. Well, at least here where I live. :)

@ 5:00

He's dumb enough to have his door unlocked in the middle of being chased by an angry mob of bikers?! Seriously? wtf.gif

Whatever else you want to say about him, the man pretty clearly lacks tactical sense.

I'm not going to lie, I probably would've gone "road warrior" and simply started using my vehicle to sweep them off of the road after they started trying to surround me.

Then again, though, it's pretty likely that there never would've been any trouble in the first place if I were the one driving the LandRover.

These were not Hells Angels or the Warlocks. These were recreational riders getting thier asses on thier shoulders over nothing.
Then dumb enough to film themselves during the attack and not erasing their GoPros.
Iam sure the idiot with the helmet came is all the rage in the group today. Bet he never rides again.

You have it backwards. He wasn't stopping them from passing in the first place. They wanted him and everyone else to stop so that they could have the road to themselves to do stunts on their bikes.

It wasn't a fatal mistake. He only got some bumps and bruises. One of the bikers is paralyzed in a coma and another one has a broken leg. I'd say he got the better of them.

They did escort them. 16 of them were escorted to jail and 55 bikes were confiscated.

Well said.

The guy in the range rover was doing nothing wrong initially. He was just driving. I'm not sure what induced the guy on the bike to break check him, but that guy was a moron.

You can't really see what happens before he takes off and runs the guy over, so it's hard to say whether that's justified or not.

After they follow him for several miles and then attempt to yank his car door open though, I would say anything he did at that point would be justified as self defense.

The guy in the range rover could have handled things better, but the bikers where the ones in the wrong.

Well YOU be scared of them. Dont expect anyone else to bow down to them.

It's so easy to armchair-quarterback, but if I were terrified and had my spouse and baby in my vehicle, my only thought in my panic might be to try to get away, which is what Lien seems to have done.
