The GOP platform Trump & Republicans will use in 2020 40+ references attacking "the current" president.

GOP is making no changes to its 2016 platform for 2020.


That 2016 platform decried:
  • a ballooning national debt
  • over-use of executive orders
  • presidents disregarding Congress's powers
  • shunning allies and rewarding enemies
  • unilateral troop decisions

Also stated “The survival of the internet as we know it is at risk," it reads. "Its gravest peril originates in the White House."

They couldn't even bother to address anything? Does this mean that MAGA didn't happen? The wall wasn't built? Clinton wasn't thrown in jail??? Oh wait....

It's the GOP way: accuse the other side of doing the things you have done and continue to intend to do. My God. National debt is bad, so let's double deficits to give tax handouts to the upper crust. Executive orders are bad so let's use executive orders to undo everything Obama did. Disregarding congress is bad so let's stonewall congress at every turn. Shunning allies is bad so let's permanently damage our reputation with allies by unilaterally withdrawing from agreement after agreement. Rewarding enemies is bad so let's fellate Kim Jong Un and Putin, praising Xi to his face. Unilateral troop decisions are bad so let's unilaterally abandon the kurds on pretense of bringing troops home, but just move them around a bit and keep them there; oh, and let's negotiate with terrorists (the taliban) whilst running away.

And Trumpists will defend this. Disgusting.

I'm just wondering when your party is finally going to become "fiscally conservative". Those Tea Party idiots rose to power during the Obama years, and then donned red "MAGA" hats in 2016, and never spoke about spending and deficits again.

That was so 2012 GOP. Although ironically, Eastwood seems to have soured on Trump. He threw his support behind Bloomberg in the primaries.
