Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel, the niece of Sen.-elect Mitt Romney (R-Utah), blasted the incoming lawmaker on Wednesday, saying that the op-ed he wrote criticizing President Trump was "disappointing and unproductive."

"POTUS is attacked and obstructed by the MSM media and Democrats 24/7," McDaniel wrote on Twitter. "For an incoming Republican freshman senator to attack @realdonaldtrump as their first act feeds into what the Democrats and media want and is disappointing and unproductive."

I agree with Ronna Romney McDaniel. As the RNC chair, she said the right thing.

She refers to uncle Mitt as an "incoming freshman senator". While true, it's still a smack right in the kisser.

How dare he be critical of the president?! How dare he? He needs to learn his place! Where does he get off, speaking his mind?

Romney needs to get aboard or get out. GOP got no use for fools like this.

Sounds as stupid as many of the right wing nutter posts on this forum.

Yes, how dare Mitt Romney be critical of Trump! It's so disappointing as compared to the Trump era.
But unproductive? Ah, that's the modern lack of ethics that's so dear to the Trump era isn't it? Defend Trump no matter what, or you're nor being productive!

It's a testament to the weakness of the Republican Party that no criticism from one of their own can be permitted. South Carolina even wants to cancel a primary in their state to prevent a Republican opponent from running against Trump.

As many a new prisoner in a federal prison would tell you once you get there the first thing you should do is Slug somebody usually the guy everyone perceives is the top

If these were normal times she would have a point but these are not normal times

I'm not fond of Mitt but I admire him for his opening punch

The GOP cannot afford any dissension of the ranks....Romney could cause big problems if the evangelical wing says enough...There are only so many white conservatives around...trump needs every one....and Romney knows it

Weak and getting weaker. It appears the party is determined to go down with the Trumptanic. We will see if McConnell can take the pressure from constituents to reopen the Govt. The Senate only needs 67 votes to override Trumps veto and pass the clean bill coming from the House on Friday.

Trumps followers are not conservatives.

that is simply a feel good tag they assign themselves as they support trillion dollar increases in debt
