They say that statistics doesn't lie but liars use statistics. You cherry pick C-SPAN numbers, of 440,000, when most people watched on other networks. This is what it looked like when we include those other networks:

Convention ratings are meaningless, we have no idea how many Republicans are watching the DNC to get oppo or make fun of it, and vice versa.

What matters is whether the candidate gets a bounce in the polls as a result, and Joe got no bounce.

Biden didn't need a bounce, since he maintains big lead over Trump. The question then becomes, will the RNC's message, which is be very, very scared of a Biden because he'll usher in socialism, violence -- everything but deflower your daughters -- will resonate at all with undecided voters? I think voters lived with eight years of Obama and were very comfortable with that choice and none of the Republican fearmonging is going to work -- but we realize that's all they got.

I’m not the OP, so not sure, but there’s no way of telling who watched the convention and loved it vs. who watched it and hated it. Or who was watching to get opposition info on the other party.

Since Joe got no bounce, we can definitively say that the DNC did not cause many Independents to shift towards Biden.
