Rise of the Demagogues


A concise answer would be appreciated. Because the whole article talks about a wide breath of information, without context. Because we know that violent crime has higher rates of occurrence with blacks and much like any other. The issue mostly starts with non-compliance. Even going with Floyd's own account, he was resisting the police's request for him to comply and due to the leaked body cam footage. We can see that this was true with his own actions for some time. Did he deserve to die? No.
Does those responsible for his death deserve punishment? Yes.

But just saying that police kill X amount of people every year and therefor something is wrong. Does not actually lend any weight to the argument. It's just stating a fact that we already knew was happening and then claiming that it's a negative, without going into the data.
