This is the Doctor and Missionary that was given the experimental drug to get rid of the Ebola.....they have put him under observation and want to confirm he doesn't have the Virus. What say ye?

.....Over Respiratory Illness.

A Massachusetts doctor and missionary who was successfully treated for Ebola he contracted in Africa is back in the hospital with what appears to be a respiratory infection, but doctors don't suspect a recurrence of the virus. UMass Memorial Medical Center said in a statement that Dr. Richard Sacra was hospitalized Saturday for observation and is in stable condition. He has a cough and conjunctivitis, commonly known as pinkeye, hospital officials said.

Sacra will remain in isolation until doctors have confirmation from tests by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that he is not infected with the virus, the hospital said. Doctors expect to know with certainty by late Monday. "We are isolating Dr. Sacra to be cautious pending final confirmation of his illness," said Dr. Robert Finberg, who is heading Sacra's medical team. "We think it is highly unlikely that he has Ebola. We suspect he has an upper respiratory tract infection.".....snip~

Pink eye. I LOVE pink eye. It's the perfect excuse to get outa work. Easy to fake, no one even wants you NEAR them when they think you have it, and best of all, no one demands the Drs Note, because, well...it was JUST pink eye.

Drug side effect? Or experimental drug that is not working as hoped?

So far they have said their experimental drug worked. Although.....now Duncan is in Critical condition while under care too.

Pink eye and his cough suggest a viral illness, and he's still a highly experimental patient who recently had ebola. Its reasonable, and more importantly its educational. Speaking of U-mass...

He is only receiving supportive care and will die very soon.
ZMapp supplies are zilch, and I'm not sure about TKM.

Edit: it appears he's now receiving a new anti-viral only just approved by the FDA. He is listed as stable.
