The share of Americans who disapprove of his presidency has risen more substantially, to 51% in the latest poll, compared with 41% right after he took office.
In the latest poll, only 32% of respondents approved of Trump's performance on inflation, a potential early sign of disappointment in the Republican's performance on a core economic issue
Public approval of Trump's economic stewardship fell to 39% from 43% in the prior poll.
--A recent report from the U.S. Labor Department showed consumer prices rose by the most in nearly 1-1/2 years in January, with Americans facing higher costs for a range of goods and services. Other economic data has shown U.S. households expect inflation to pick up following Trump's February 1 announcements for steep tariffs on imports from China, Mexico and Canada.
No amount of Musk threats to primary will solve the economy. As more and more polls begin to show Trump's popularity flagging, we'll begin to see an uptick in MAGA claiming the polls to be "fake news" and a "MSM plot" to destroy America. MAGA who previously started threads showing positive Trump polling will quickly switch to claiming that polls do not actually matter. Count on it.
One question(Reuters) Trump's approval rating slips as Americans worry about the economy

The honeymoon would appear to be over.
Yesterday's Reuters Poll would seem to confirm last Thursday's Gallop Poll, which also showed unhappiness & disapproval with the President's failure to lower Inflation & bring prices down.
In fact, the majority of Americans now believe the President will worsen Inflation and the economy.
NOPE, as long as THEY get to turn on Fox every night and see more black and brown people in chains being flown out of the country, THEY are a happy bunch.Do you think Trump and MAGA care?
One thing Trump can't lie about is actual inflation and the economy. He can fudge the numbers and lie about the situation but this is one area the public knows the truth, lives the truth.
Yes he can but my point is it is the one area the lies won't work.Oh, but he can. Remember that Trump has installed loyalists all across the government, and we can expect them to start “cooking the books” on the monthly reports regarding the economy. Nothing comes out of the Trump government that is not undergirded by blatant lies.
A $5K stimulus would actually worsen inflation, as will the tariffs. I think one of the biggest thing people are dissatisfied with Trump about is that since he began his term, he hasn't focused on the economy at all. They can't govern and the American people are going to see it again.
A tax cuts won't help them.
A 5k stimulus would short term but long term it won't. Its a gimmick.
Appeasing Russia won't
Layoff people? Yeah that will help the economy.
He began backing off the Economy focus before he took the oath of office.A $5K stimulus would actually worsen inflation, as will the tariffs. I think one of the biggest thing people are dissatisfied with Trump about is that since he began his term, he hasn't focused on the economy at all.
MAGAts are all in on destroying this country.weird. so far his focus has been on tariffs which increase inflation. and laying off people to increase unemployment. Those are two huge economic measures that people see, as opposed to the deficit which gets a lot less attention.
Yep and it was the economy that got him elected. Guess he knows he doesn't have to run for reelection, so **** it, he doesn't even have to pretend to care this time.He began backing off the Economy focus before he took the oath of office.
He can try to enforce no reporting on inflation...One thing Trump can't lie about is actual inflation and the economy. He can fudge the numbers and lie about the situation but this is one area the public knows the truth, lives the truth.
You think if he's still alive, he'll step down? So naive.Yep and it was the economy that got him elected. Guess he knows he doesn't have to run for reelection, so **** it, he doesn't even have to pretend to care this time.
Wow. Look at that Blue chart. Did you post any threads about polls during that time period? Plus RCP has Trump at 49%(Reuters) Trump's approval rating slips as Americans worry about the economy

and they cannot do a 5k stimulus without Congress. No amount of Musk threats to primary will solve the economy.
They want to do a 5k stimulus to people. Which according to the right caused our current mess
Just imagine if there had been any indications that this would happen.(Reuters) Trump's approval rating slips as Americans worry about the economy

He can because he isn't making any of these decisions or driving the actions domestically. It is being executed 100% by Vought and Musk. But he has gone golfing multiple times already
As Republicans came down heavily on Joe Biden's vacation, their current president, Donald Trump, has gone golfing 7 out of 29 days in office [As of February 19th, 2025]
Nearly 24.14% of Trump's Presidency has seen him playing golf if 7 days out of 29 are considered, making it nearly a quarter of his time spent at the White House till now.
The tracker even suggests that 428 of the 1,461 days of Trump's first Presidential term were spent playing golf, which is a little less than a quarter of his first four years as US President.
