Aug 1 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in regions near Russia in response to threats from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
"I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that," Trump said in a social media post that called Medvedev's statements highly provocative.

Sounds scary, but I seriously doubt it will lead to any nuclear weapons being launched.--Trump orders nuclear submarines moved after Russian 'provocative statements'

Apparently Trump & the Russian Deputy Chair of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, have been trading barbs via social media, in effect saber rattling leading to mutual threats to use nuclear force upon each others' nations. The rhetoric reached the point where Trump has now sent our nuclear missile subs to strategically position themselves near Russia, ostensibly to be in a position to attack if necessary.
It appears we've just entered a high-stakes game of nuclear chicken, and have progressed from the verbal to actionable stage.
At least 90% of what comes out of Traitor Trump’s blowhole should remain in his shit filled head.No Leader should ever say what he says on the record.
I agree but it is unnecessarily risky. trump is unfit. Full stop.Sounds scary, but I seriously doubt it will lead to any nuclear weapons being launched.

Probably. But why? Why, in the first place? Diplomatic trolling via social media? Really?
Traitor Trump didn’t say where the subs have been directed to station themselves. Due to the extensive range of many weapons carried aboard SSN’s and SSBN’s (especially), the subs could be thousands of miles away from of Russia.Yes, let's tell a hostile nation where nuclear subs are. What could go wrong?

I'm not worried. Nuclear weapons states are very practiced at throwing barbs but avoiding direct confrontation, and besides that, Donald always Tacos anyway.
Why? Because as we know, Traitor Trump isn’t capable of moderation or diplomacy.Probably. But why? Why, in the first place? Diplomatic trolling via social media? Really?
No doubt. Traitor Trump’s reputation as a gullible, pugnacious moron is known by all.I can't help suspect Russia is playing Trump.
Trying to distract from the tanking job market.
No disagreement here.I agree but it is unnecessarily risky. trump is unfit. Full stop.
Trump is going to start WW3
Fair point.
Can't imagine it making points with his base, though.

A "nuclear submarine" is a submarine driven by nuclear power. It isn't necessarily armed with nuclear weapons. A nuclear submarine launched non-nuclear missiles against Iran in the attack on Iran's enrichment facilities so, clearly, the deployment of a nuclear submarine is not a threat to use nuclear weapons.Apparently Trump & the Russian Deputy Chair of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, have been trading barbs via social media, in effect saber rattling leading to mutual threats to use nuclear force upon each others' nations.
