I was just informed that my good friend, Papa Bluez, has passed away. He was not feeling well last night, so went to bed early. His wife tried to wake him up at 1AM, but he was gone.

Wasn't that long ago that he and I shared the stage, as he played Epitaph by King Crimson, and it was just 2 days ago that he came to the open mike jam that my band was hosting, but he didn't play. That's when I thought something might be wrong. Papa Bluez was a gentle giant of a man, who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He is going to be sorely missed.

God bless you, Papa Bluez. We will meet again some day, at that great jam session up in the sky.

Anyone who would like to leave a farewell message on Papa Bluez' facebook page is welcome to.

Sorry for your loss. Let that which he stood for live on in you until your dying day.
