Many Cons on this board seem to support requiring a sonogram with the tech pointing out the organs and extremities of the child before a woman can abort, under penalty of fine or prison.

So I ask you this: how would you feel if the State mandated that anyone who buys Levitra, Viagra, or an other erectile disfunction medication must first get a digital rectal exam to check for an enlarged prostate? No digital exam, no ED meds, or you pay a fine if you get them anyways.

How about it? Sound good? Are you ok wit a doctor sticking his finger up your ass before you can get meds for a hard on?

Yeah, this needed its own thread.

Doesn't seem logical or to be purposeful, seems to be a policy created purely for vindictive reasons. We know that it seems that way because we saw you and yours craft it purely for vindictive reasons. As such, I'm afraid such a policy would not warrant support.

Its totally logical, as ED can be caused by an enlarged prostate or other things going on up the bum.

Makes perfect sense for a doctor to check things out up there before you buy your erection pills.

Too late. A doctor who wishes to keep their license will have a full exam on tap before prescribing Viagra to the patient. A digital recal exam is not the only way to check for an enlarged prostate or prostate cancer. In fact on men over 40 a PSA blood test is done with a full medical exam.

You can't buy any ED drugs over the counter?

Indeed; there's no law about it though.

Law doesn't generally dictate best practice - civil liability and the possibility of medical malpractice suits do that just fine.

Not Viagra or Levitra.

Well then, every state should require that before a doctor gives a prescription for these drugs, a rectal exam be performed first.

It makes medical sense.

Like requiring a sonogram before abortion?????????????????????????????????

Again your lack of education on the subject is showing. It does not make medical sense as I have explained.

In your opinion it doesn't make sense.

A quick finger up the bum could detect cancer or an enlarged prostate.

It makes medical sense.

That policy deals with establishing informed consent prior to an entirely elective and unnecessary procedure. It may even directly and immediately save lives.

Pregnancy is not a disease; it is a healthy, brief, and self-limiting condition. If you wanted best practice dictated by law in that case then you would want prenatal care, no abortions.

This sounds like something you should have known before you started this thread attacking Conservatives.

I would never seek out such meds to begin with and there's no way ill ever be having a prostate exam or colonoscopy.

Once again, PSA is done first and routinely with a medical exam before a DRE is indicated. A full exam is performed before prescription of Viagra/Levitra. You don't know enough about the subject to make the equivilency you're trying to set up. It's a busted strawman and an obvious troll.

You can get Viagra pills all day long in Mexico no prescription over the counter. For a few extra bucks you'll have no problem finding a sweet chavala to stick her finger up your ass, if that makes your day.

That said, I get the point in the OP. I think it is a great idea. I do not understand why old white men cannot leave women alone. Let women be themselves and own their own bodies. Ultra conservative social engineering is driving most of the country nuts. Let women be free. What the hell is so difficult about that? Don't want an abortion? Don't have one. Leave everyone else the **** alone.

But I would encourage every pregnant woman who cannot afford her pregnancy and/or to raise their child to move big government red states. Kansas and Texas and a few other states seem to be all excited about having tens of thousands of more babies and baby families on public assistance of all kinds.

On top of other interesting things about you...you are now telling us that you are a "Laparo-fingerphobe"?

First, you suggest that before a man has a vasectomy he be required to have a colonoscopy, and now this?

If the requirement for sonogram makes sense (it doesn't) claiming medical reasons, no man should be able to buy an ED drug unless he has quarterly EKGs, blood pressure testing, cholesterol tested and a prostate exam.

I'm telling you that anyone who tries to touch that part of my anatomy for ANY reason is going to lose a hand at best and their life quite possibly.

Yeah, because Viagra and Levitra are the same as abortion

One takes a life, the other works on blood vessels to aid in erection. The two are not similar nor are they equal.

It's your life, Tig.....

Re the colonoscopy, you are foolish. That procedure is one of the very few we can have performed that will PREVENT cancer.

Sure. makes a lot of sense actually. If ED is being treated as a medical dysfunction then there should be a complete medical examination as to the potential cause. Im surprised they dont already do that. Dispensing meds without a complete medical workup is irresponsible.
