Trump reverses Biden approval of Idaho wind project

Why and who benefits from this decision beside trump? His hatred for windmills is a well known fact.

The Trump administration will reverse a Biden-era approval of a major wind energy project — marking the latest in a string of anti-renewable moves by the Trump administration.
In a press release, the Interior Department said it was “reversing the Biden administration’s misguided, last-minute push to approve the Lava Ridge Wind Project.”

Who on the right wants to defend this action as helping someone? This is nothing more than president thin skin striking out once again.

It's really sad what the gop is doing to the citizens of America.

And if you don't believe my post above and you want to really understand the details of what Trump is doing with wind and natural gas (that's going to crush all of us) listen to these specifics...

Since wind project are heavily subsidized by the federal government, it will save us money. I seem to recall some of these wind/solar investments going bust.

This is the government using our tax dollars to give one type of energy an advantage over the others. Why not let them all compete fairly in the open market? That's literally the most democratic way to decide the issue - let the people choose what works best.

The UK has massively invested in wind power and now shut down all our coal power stations.
Wind power is a fantastic investment and I live within walking distance of a wind farm with 10 large turbines.
I can walk right up to them and under the blades in about 15 minutes.

Oil and gas have both received vast subsidies over the last 100 years.
Now you complain about renewable energy being given en subsidies?

I have a friend who was moving back out west because he'd been offered a job with a company specializing in transporting and burying wind turbine blades. He ended up not taking the job- but if he had, he would have been eagerly anticipating more wind farms.

Wind power is heavily subsided. We need a robust power infrastructure, not one that can only produce when the wind is blowing. Money is better spent on Natural Gas which we can also export.

I was always all for natural gas. An old hand in the gas business told me once. When the ICC (Illinois Commerce Commission) comes around, open up your pockets. The money is going to just fall in.

It makes you libs cry!

He's helping save people from getting cancer caused by the sound from the wind turbines. Do want more people to get cancer? That's truly horrible./s

Reminds me of when Biden ended Keystone XL on his first day in office just because he doesn't like pipelines - helped nobody.

Don't think that a lot of blue collar pipeliners didn't remember that last year.

It's Idaho, so who cares?

Which American cities were to be supplied by Keystone, and what grade of oil was to be shipped?

Posts like this make me laugh until I have to pee.

Windmills' lack of efficiency is also a well-known fact.

Why is there a problem with a obviously correct move?

It's really sad what the gop is doing to the citizens of America.
It's sad that you think you speak for the majority of this country.

He's 100% correct, too. Windmills are ugly and they do ruin the landscape and many people believe the trade-off isn't worth it and I'm one of them.
And they have a relatively short service life and they are made of materials that we do not recycle and they kill birds at an alarming rate.

It's a good thing coal plants don't kill birds wholesale, right?

Rapid build out of wind and solar power all across the world. There also families and business in Republican states sees the benefits of renewable energy. While Republican politicians only care about the money they get from fossil fuel companies and fossil fuel dictatorships.
