Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense lay

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

That IS what they're doing, yes.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

Like I said, you have no idea what's going on in this thread -- which is not unusual, and it makes your last three words deliciously ironic.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

LOL The House has already passed legislation eliminating the defense cuts but they refuse to make any deals with the President about them. They are simply trying to make their cuts make Obama look bad, The President is trying to minimize their efforts, that makes him a bad person to you. Why shouldn't the President try and avoid layoff notices to workers if he can? Isn't that his job?

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

Aaaaaaand . . . you prove exactly what I just said. You, of course, have no idea that you did.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

So Obama talking about compensating workers that get screwed over by a do-nothing Congress is supposed to be a bad thing?

If he's ignoring a law, then yes...it's a bad thing.

Aaaaaaand . . . you prove exactly what I just said. You, of course, have no idea that you did.

But you didn't answer my question. Why shouldn't the President do all he can to avoid layoff notices to workers that may never result in layoffs? It should tell you that he will be trying to make a deal after the election. Is that why you are upset? You would think that would make you happy, unless you want those layoffs to take place.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

Wow. Just....wow. You actually make The Pete look somewhat reasoned and unbiased.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

This is just getting ridiculous, does anyone in Washington follow the law anymore?

Nope.........

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

 Because I have no need to answer the silly fantasies you pull out of your ass to make sure OBAMA GUD, REPUBLICANZ BAD.

His motive is obvious, and even if it weren't, it doesn't give him the authority to actually do this, nor does it explain exactly where the funds to pay for the legal costs of said companies are going to come from without appropriation from Congress. That, of course, is totally over your head, because you, again, have no idea what's actually going on here.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

This thread is a perfect example of the moral and ethical depravity of those who support Obama.

It's been established that he is willing to ignore the limits to the powers and authority of his position and is willing to commit taxpayer dollars in order to prompt companies to violate the law.

But the Obama supporters will use irrelevant rationalizations, feel-good reasoning and any kind of spin they can think of...including somehow making this whole thing seem like the Republican's fault...to justify his actions.

How did the Democrats ever get to this state?

Because Obama can't keep the cuts from happening alone. I'm happy for these co sequences. When you have such high deficits then cuts have to happen and taxes have to go up, they can only continue in the mind of someone who spends a lot of time in Washington. It's all about prioritization, something we all do every day.

I wouldn't say moral, but certainly ethical, for sure. They will defend ANYTHING their 'guy' does... even though we know if the other 'guy' did it, they'd be raising hell.

I can only image "employee compensation" isn't for the companies, rather the employees.

You can imagine anything you like. What it is is bribery, using taxpayer dollars, so that the REALITY doesnt make him 'look bad' before the election. Funny...the cuts kicked in because congress couldnt manage to effect deficit spending curbs...and now...in response to the cuts...the WH is obligating MORE deficit spending. Un****ingbelievable.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

You know full well that it was the GOP's absolute ban on revenue increases that caused the impass in Congress. That will no longer be a problem after the election. The problem will be Republicans voting against tax CUTS for the middle class even if the mitigation of some of sequestration cuts is offered as part of the deal. Those tax cuts for the upper brackets that are expiring would bring extra revenue that could reduce those cuts substantially without adding to the deficit. See how that all works out?

I think he ate some bad iguana.

Re: Republicans rip White House for putting tax dollars on line over possible defense

I have never in all my life, seen such blind devotion to someone like this. It's absolutely nuts.

The guy is absolutely, 100% unethical and immoral professionally. He is a Chicago crook. This is just one more example.

So much for carin about the working man. "Lay them off after, I try and get re-elected". Nothing more telling then this from Obama.
