Jon Corzine in the race for governor in New Jersey, says President Bush’s unpopularity is largely to blame for his defeat.
But conservative icon Richard Viguerie also blames Bush for Republicans’ troubles in the recent election, saying GOP candidates "paid the price for President Bush’s move to the left exhibited by his expansion of government programs, power and spending at the expense of personal, religious and economic freedom.
"He has not been in sync with conservatives.”
