And could it be any more obvious that voter suppression (young people, minorities, etc) and gerrymandering are the only real Republican strategies to help them win elections?

Maybe we could just make them pay a tax to vote.

We could put in waivers for people whose grandfather voted.

I don't think so. I believe the prohibition on literacy tests is in The Voting Rights Act.

It does violate the 26th Amendment, though. So that would have to be repealed.
 
Way to go, dumbass. Kick the 18-25 year old's to the curb. On top of pledging to pardon trump if elected, I think he just sealed his fate. GOOD! He's a joke.
 
This is pretty much the same as saying he would make Christianity illegal.
 
This actually might not be a bad short-term move *in the primary*. He's trying to get the votes of older Republicans. They might find the talk about taking the vote form 18-25 appealing.
 
Someone should remind him that 18 year olds can go to war and die for this country, but he doesn't want them to vote without a test...and that a poll tax is illegal...tests are illegal as well.
 
I'd rather he propose only those with Masters or say Bachelor's degree from an accredited US institution allowed to vote.... Oh wait, that would not be good for Republicans.
 
Ramaswamy is a fast talking, far right crackpot with no realistic shot at being the GOP nominee.

His only chance of being on the GOP ticket next year will be as Traitor Trump’s VP running mate, but he’ll have to fight MTG, first.

His proposal actually allows 18y.o. voters if they are in the military (or first responders) without civics test.
 

I do not understand this mans principles, if indeed he has any.
 
The SCOTUS has already ruled on this and it is not constitutional. It was part of the Jim Crow laws and it has already been struck down.
 


That idiot republican has not read the constitution and likes to tell every intelligent person who has read it, how stupid he is.

The only way to do what that idiot wants is to pass a new amendment to the constitution.

People are old enough to go to war and give their lives for our nation but they aren't old enough to be able to choose who represents them in government?

The only reason why republicans want to take the vote from young people is because young people vote for democrats.

The idiot republicans want to take the vote from women too.

They know they can't win an honest and fair election so they are looking to find ways to cheat even more and deny over half of our nation the right to self determination and the right to choose who represents them in our government.

It's nothing but pathetic. They refuse to change their irresponsible, hateful and sick policy. If they did change they would find more people would vote for them.

Republicans are lazy. They are too lazy to do the work to change so more people will vote for them.
