"Afghanistan updates: 44 US citizens invited on flight leaving Kabul, some decline
An official cited "various reasons" for them staying behind.

"But even as the last American troops were flown out to meet President Joe Biden's Aug. 31 deadline, other Americans who wanted to flee the country were left behind. The Biden administration is now focused on a "diplomatic mission" to help them leave but some hoping to evacuate are still stuck in the country. Meanwhile, the Taliban has announced its new "caretaker" government..."

Can President Biden and his Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, get more US Citizens out of Afghanistan?

What is behind the slow processing of Visas for Translators??

Is there enough goodwill to make a peace work?

Those Americans who were left behind are in for a long, hard time ahead. Some may not survive.

More blood on Biden's hands.

Who knows? But we can see that the admin is trying to get everyone out who wants out.

"EXCLUSIVE: The organizer of a private mission to rescue an American mom, Mariam, and her three children from Afghanistan says the U.S. State Department is now trying to insert itself into the story of her evacuation, despite playing little to no role for much of the rescue effort.

Senior State Department officials on Monday announced that the "U.S. has facilitated the safe departure of four US citizens by overland route from Afghanistan. Embassy staff was present upon their arrival."

But those actually involved in the dangerous rescue operation say the State Department deserves little to no credit for Mariam's escape from Afghanistan. "

"STATE DEPT BLOCKING PRIVATE RESCUE FLIGHTS FROM LEAVING AFGHANISTAN, ORGANIZERS SAY: ‘BLOOD IS ON THEIR HANDS’

Cory Mills and a private team of military veterans, drawing on funding by private donors including the Sentinel Foundation, led the effort to rescue Mariam and her three children from Afghanistan, where they had been left behind by the Biden administration, multiple sources with knowledge of Mariam's evacuation confirmed to Fox News.

Mills and his team worked for weeks to get Mariam's family out of Afghanistan after Republican Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson alerted him to the family's plight."

Some people, for whatever reason, are going to want to stay behind. The door to leaving will not be open to them forever.

"WASHINGTON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - In a luxury hotel along Doha's coastline last year, Zalmay Khalilzad smiled as he shook hands with the Taliban's co-founder Mullah Baradar in front of journalists and diplomats from around the world.

"We have signed an agreement with the Taliban that achieves U.S. objectives," Khalilzad, the United States' special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation, wrote on Twitter later that night.

Twenty months later, the U.S.-backed Afghan government collapsed as the Taliban swept through the country at lightning speed and marched into Kabul unopposed. Khalilzad was left seeking the militant group's help in a chaotic U.S. evacuation from Kabul."

"How does he still have a job?" a U.S. official asked. "There is no longer any Afghan reconciliation left."

Khalilzad declined to comment on the record.

Some officials, lawmakers and foreign policy experts said that he is one of the few U.S. diplomats to have relations with the Taliban and was simply following orders from both U.S. Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden: get all U.S. troops out of Afghanistan."

Trump and Biden did not keep the pullout secret. The US pullout was known years in advance. I don't follow the logic that Biden and Trump are responsible for lives lost to the Taliban. The Taliban were carrying out extra-judicial killings, beatings and executions.

"The White House said that 21 American citizens were evacuated from Afghanistan on Friday via a chartered flight and overland route, bringing the total Americans evacuated over the past two days to 31.

“Today the United States government facilitated the additional departures of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents both on a chartered Qatar Airways flight from Kabul and via overland passage to a neighboring country,” White House National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horne said in a statement Friday afternoon.

“The Qatar Airways flight held 19 U.S. citizens and the party traveling overland included two U.S. citizens and 11 lawful permanent residents,” Horne said."

"Additionally, the State Department said late Thursday that 10 American citizens and 11 U.S. permanent residents were evacuated on a Qatar Airways charter flight that left Kabul’s international airport earlier that day.

The Biden administration has not offered specific figures on the number of U.S. citizens seeking to leave Afghanistan who are still there, but officials have said over the past several days that the number was around 100."

Maybe they shouldn't have believed this guy:

“The Taliban is not the North Vietnamese Army. They're not remotely comparable in terms of capability,” Biden said. “There's going to be no circumstances where you’re going to see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy in the United States from Afghanistan.”

Biden has insisted that U.S. support for Afghanistan will not end with the U.S. military mission there. Biden hosted Afghan President Ashraf Ghani two weeks ago prior to the start of the withdrawal as a show of U.S. support. The Biden administration plans to continue to provide support to Afghan security forces as well as humanitarian assistance.

“The partnership between Afghanistan and the United States is not ending,” Biden told Ghani in the Oval Office on June 25. “Afghans are going to have to decide their future of what they want. … But we're going to stick with you. And we're going to do our best to see to it you have the tools you need.”

“The likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely,” Biden said.

I keep telling people...don't believe what they say, look at what they do.

Other people keep believing what they say.

The stranded Americans that remained behind when the US Military left Afghanistan are on their way home or have already arrived back.
And Right Wing Trumpers are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO furious that nothing bad happened to them.
They wanted more casualties to pin on Biden SOOOOO bad they could TASTE it.

This is what we're dealing with.
Dubya was right:

“There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home.
But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols —
they are children of the same foul spirit, and it is our continuing duty to confront them.”
