Bundy was tangentially connected. They supported Bundy and were at his ranch.
Again, just because you don't like the connection doesn't mean it's not there.
There was no "group" here. That is misleading. We're talking about a couple of crazy people, that's it.
The problem with threads like this is people get so caught up in the whole guilt by association thing that they actually brainwash themselves into believing that politics had something to do with it. Neither party embraces violent loonies like these two people. That's partisan hack fodder.
Bundy wasn't connected to anything. These people showed up at his ranch, and according to the shooter, they were shunned by the Bundy people.
There's no connection. In America people show up uninvited to things. Bundy has nothing to do with this story or the shooters.
I don't shorten Liberal. I call Liberals Liberals.
As I said, tangentially. It's an interesting side note, and you don't want to hear it because it's Bundy.
It's an interesting side note because it actually confirms the Bundy people weren't the dangerous criminals you made them out to be. They shunned this couple because of their insane, dangerous ideas. So if anything, this makes the Bundy connection not in your favor.
I'm just surprised that you don't even realize you help Bundy trying to bring him into this story.
Bottom line - these were 2 insane nutjobs who I'm glad are dead. I just think it's terrible that they took 3 innocent people with them.
There was a thread within the last couple of weeks in a different part of the forum where I lambasted someone for suggesting liberals were so useless to society that death was acceptable. Maybe you missed it? I've gone after plenty of right wing hacks in my time here and it is usually over this same type of guilt by association nonsense. It is endlessly frustrating for me that when a person who is vaguely left-wing does something negative, it is painted as "all those liberals" and then connected to Obama. Yet when someone is vagely right-wing, it's all "this has nothing to do with politics" and any associations to anyone on the right (like Bundy) are quickly ignored.
I expect you to do this next time a lefty does something, but I won't hold my breath.
I'm not trying to help one nutjob over another. There's a very slight connection. Noted and move on.
Contrary to what you may be reading here, I think it's safe to say they weren't Democrats either.
Definitely far right people who are the anti-federal government type like Cliven Bundy
Bundy has nothing to do with this story. Why would he pop into your mind when you saw it?
Someone brought it up.
Militia Group = anti gubbermint
Bundy = anti gubbermint
I remember when liberals went nuts when swastika symbols were found on the Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, San Diego. They demanded that the sailors barracks to be torn down.
They did modify some of the buildings until the liberals lost the House in Congress.

You have to be as partisan as Pete to believe them to be right-wing.
They were right-wing in global terms. I wouldn't equate them with Republicans. Compared to the global right, Dick Cheney is a dangerous liberal because he believes in elected government.
You have to be as partisan as Pete to believe them to be right-wing.
Oh, those supporting Bundy, and hating the gubbermint are all liburuls? who knew? :lamo
Hitler, other than ultra-Christian tendencies, was pretty left-wing. These guys are anarchists - the epitome of the left-wing. Them having swastikas makes them prone to hatred and shock value.
Apparently not you.
And we're back to, "It's bad, therefore it's left wing."
Hitler wasn't even ultra-Christian, but he did believe in totalitarian government. Globally speaking, that's ultra-ultra-conservative. He was economically left, but socially right which is why he was so dangerous.

Hitler was a HUGE Christian, and even bigger purist. Also, consider the fact that totalitarianism is pretty useless since these two were anarchists. Anarchism is ultra-ultra-liberal. That's why I said that the swastika thing was nothing but shock value. They weren't Nazis. They were almost diametrically the opposite of them. Instead of consolidating power, they sought to destroy it.
Hitler was a HUGE Christian, and even bigger purist.
I'm not saying these nuts were Nazis. Apparently they glommed on to whatever ideology worked on whatever day. Hitler wanted to replace the Christian religion with the old Norse gods.
What denomination was he?
Do you actually think anyone believes your lame apologetics?
Here's a VENN DIAGRAM. Use it as a learning aid. I made it just for you.
