So are Christians and jews and other criminal organisations. Lets do face the facts. Europe has been plauged by terror for the last 40 years, the US for the last 8. Europe has been fighting all kinds of terror for decades and still do. We have had radical right, radical left, anarchists, catholic, protestant and Islamic and nationalist terror. ETA aint a bunch of Islamofascists. Nor are the Corsican "freedom fighters", or the mafia in Italy that use carbombs and assassinations against elected officials. But at least we do not ignore the radical (both organised and unorganised) of our society.
If the police found material for a dirty bomb in a Mafia local, then you bet that there would be some serious consequences.
And yes unlike the US, Europe does have a very wide political spectrum and political views, which includes an anarchist movement and they tend to live up to their names during certain times of the year.. usually looting a US owned burger joint, calling for the down fall of the US imperialist ways, while holding a Coca Cola in one hand and a Big Mac in the other... yes they are morons! but they have the right to protest and suffer the consequences of their actions afterwards.
A small one, like all manner of other kooks. Let it be remembered it is the leftists on the whole that have acted violently. Bader Meinhof, SDS, Wiliam Ayers... radical ecofreaks... the anarchists that thrash city after city when a G7 or G* summit takes place.
And lets not forget that it was right wing inspired politics that lead to nationalistic fascist dictatorships in Spain, Italy and Germany. And lets not forget the US inspired military coups across the planet, that put in place hardcore right wing fascist dictators that murdered millions of their own population. And lets not forget that it is today a right wing government in Italy that is bringing back many of the old "El Duche" ideals. Yes the left has had violent aspects of it, no doubt about that, but dont deny that the right has not had also. And the fact is that the Neo Nazi movement is a RIGHT wing movement across the world. And lets not forget the biggest right wing political movement that has cost hundreds of millions of lives.. the Christian Church.

Hey it bothered me, but this Ayers guy was a radical long ago, during a very different time. If we labled people on past actions, then we should have labled Israel as a terrorist nation from the day it was founded, since many of its leaders were wanted terrorists by the UK. We should still be calling the PLO a terrorist organisation and anyone talking to them (including Israel and the US) as terrorist sympathisers. But we dont, especially if the man in question was never convicted of any crime.
On top of that, Obama's connection to Ayers was proven to be very very very very small.
If we should use the right wing mantra on this subject, then Rumsfeldt should be shipped off to Gitmo as a terrorist, because he not only shock the hand of Saddam but held several meetings with Iraqi "terrorists".
What the right attempted to do with Ayers was to use the guilt by association, and not only that, but association by being in the general area of someone. Does that mean that everyone in New York are terrorists now because there was a trial against a known terrorist in the city?
But back to the topic at hand.. The radical right wing white supremacist movement in the US is dangerous and has been dangerous for decades and this discovery just proves yet again that it is true. One would have thought that the Oklahoma city bombing would have woken up the American public.. but guess not.
