This thread is dedicated to documenting the first "prick" who turns a thread sour by the blanket usage of gereralizations intended on baiting, flaming, and overall partisan blindness with malice.

The left always blames it on the right. The right always blames it on the left.

Here are the rules. Only the first post of the thread that flames one side or the other counts. Follow up posts do not count. (Otherwise, there would be too many to count.)

For example:

Say the thread is about cornbread.

John Doe says, "Only rightwingnuts eat that crap." Hence, John Doe, get's the "Prick Point."

If Jane Doe follows up and says, "I know you are but what am I?" it's already too late as the thread has been soured, therefore her follow up post does not count. Only the person who "casts the first stone" gets the "Prick Point"

This should be very interesting and answer the long argued issue of which side starts the most crap and turmoil here at Debate Politics.

There will be two award presented at this threads conclusion. "The Biggest Prick at DP" award and the "Indisputable Arsehole's" award.

When you report your post, you must include a link to the thread and the post number.

I will keep a running tally and the side (right/left) who gets to 40 first wins the "Indisputable Arsehole's" award.

The individual with the most points for drawing the "first blood" on any given thread wins the "Biggest Prick at Debate Politics" award.


Threads started before the time and date stamp of this post (October 12, 2006/3:41 CST) do not qualify for consideration.

However, that thread was started before the contest started, so it does not qualify. But had this thread began AFTER the starting gun it would have won this poster a "Prick Point" and the point would go to the right.

Leave North Korea alone, so they have the bomb, good for them. In my humble opinion North Korea will not use the bomb any more than we would, oops, we already used a couple, didn't we? :3oops:

I actually hope that Iran is next in acquiring the bomb because it will force madmen like President Bush from trying to expand their so called 'democracy"!

It will also force Bush to respect those two countries in that part of the world thus negotiations will be the mode now!

Logically, it only follows that the Republicans will next be asking Osama bin-Laden to lead the Taliban Party wing of the new Afghan gov't and all is forgiven.

Sorry Captain Courtesy. I see that NP was alluding to Clinton but his wording does not qualify him for a Prick Point. Granted, it is the seed planted to steer the thread south but does not meet the criteria for the point since it doesn't contain the usual hate banter towards any particular political category.

But keep playing. You'll get the hang of it soon.
 
Further, I suppose I didn't make my intention clear.

I am not looking for posts like "All democrats want to raise taxes and give away free cheese," kinda posts." To qualify that sentence as a Prick Point it would have to read like, "All you dumbass democrats just want to take money from us working people on the right and give it to the lazy n***ers on the left."

It has to be offensive. It has to contain malice. It has to be rude. It has to be the first downrigh rude post of the thread.

I get to decide what is and what is not considered insulting enough to turn the thread sour to deserve the prick point.

I suppose in all fairness I should allow a second opinion to help make that determination. Perhaps someone levelheaded that leans right just to balance it out. Maybe Turtledude, Easy65 or Proud American? Any of you guys wanna join the judges panel with me?

That was an opinion. Political figures are fair game. If it read, "those stupid rightwing Bushovicks do not care what they pass on to future presidents and and future generations. The greedy bastards just care about their own arse and the here and now with absolutely no sense of foresight into the future. That's a republican for you! They all suck." THAT wording would earn a Prick Point.
