Rep. Ronny Jackson declines to answer House panel questions related to Jan. 6 attacks

Especially when your defending yourself in an investigation.
I'm speaking from the heart when it comes down to doing what's right for our country. All Jackson needs to do is comply with the 1/6 Committee and answer some questions. For him to refer to this investigation as a witch hunt is pure chickensh*t on his behalf. imo

Big connection to the planned attack on our Capitol via the Oath Keepers. Rep Ronnie Jackson who has in a very big Trumpian style, rejected to cooperate with the 1/6 Committee.

No guilt there.

Rep. Jackson, who was present both at a rally preceding the attack and at the Capitol during the attack, was referenced in several text messages between members of the far-right Oath Keepers group the day of the attack.

"Dr. Ronnie Jackson - on the move." read one of the text messages. "Needs protection. If anyone inside cover him. He has critical data to protect."
Why testify? The dog and pony show committee has all of the texts right? They have been leaking when ever they think it will damage
someone they don't like. Hint.... republicans. The MSM is more that happy to run with stuff taken out of context.

Interesting how so many do not want to answer questions regarding the event of Jan 6th.

What are they hidding?
Like Pelosi? Or McConnell?

How about Nancy? Why did she turn down the Chief of Capitol Police's request for the National Guard for January 6th? Six times.

Like Pelosi? Or McConnell?
ok,
or Jackson which is the subject of this thread.

Is it your point that because someone else refuses to answer questions makes it ok for someone else to answer questions?

Has the Jan 6 Panel requested Pelosi or McConnell to testify?

Good for him, exercising his rights. Nothing more patriotic than telling the us gov to F off
That's total BS. He took an oath to protect the US government and the US constitution. He is the government. He's also a colossal liar. We knew that 4 years ago when he told us Trump was healthy and could live to be 200. He's a friggen joke.

And why was Andy Biggs asking for pardons after the insurrection? Did they know they broke the law? Does a bear shit in the woods?

?? You're the one that made the observation "Interesting how so many do not want to answer questions regarding the event of Jan 6th. What are they hidding?"

My point exactly. Perhaps more would have cooperated if Nancy hadn't turned it into a Partisan Circus.

The Dems will of course wuss out on this.

There has never been a big consensus on subpoenaing a fellow member of congress. And even if they did, it would take way too long to wind thru the courts to do the committee any good.

Jackson has already lied about it. He claimed not to have any contact, yet they have the encrypted texts. How did the OKs get his cell number if he didn't know them? It's the job of the committee to tell us what exactly happened and make recommendations to prevent it from ever happening again.

It's the DOJs job to bring people before a grand jury to get at the criminal behavior. I have faith they are doing just that. From what we know publicly, there are at least 8-10 members of congress that were heavily involved with the numerous coup plots and the 1-6 insurrection.

sigh.
Jackson was asked. Others have not.
So what is Jackson hiding?

Partisan Circus like the Arizona Fann Cyber Nijas audit circus?

And if nothing is done, then the investigation is literally worse than doing nothing at all.

Several other congresscritters have been asked, but refused to cooperate. They'd be insane to.

Doubt it. For the first time in American history, the Speaker of the House refused to seat he members of the minority proposed by the minority leader. Unprecedented. At that point the Committee lost any credibility they may have ever had.

Why would they be insane? truth is truth , (unless you are using alternative facts.

And Arizona ran a partisan audit and picked a known "election was rigged" supporter to run the audit.
Logan pulled Fann's strings. Made a big deal about the routers. Turns out a partisan review team found the routers had nothing to do with the election equipment. Partisan bs. all the way.

Bringing all these degenerate republicans out in the open is the next best thing to prosecutions. I'll take all we can get. If the committee never mentioned the texts, no one would have known his close ties to the Oath Keepers. Now we know.

Because these partisan assholes on the committee selectively leak things to smear and shame. Like the telephone log nonsense. You guys gobbled that right up.

Couldn't comment. I didn't follow what went on with that audit.

Why would a committee, that supposedly wants to find out what happened with the security breakdown on that day, want to ask the people that would have the most information about the security on that day?

Uh, perhaps because they have no interest in finding out what happened with the security breakdown on that day? Just guessing ;)

It might be chickenshit, but depending on what he did, he might have disqualified himself from office and might have committed crimes - who knows?

More than likely, though, he knows his voters would turn on him if he cooperated, so he won't.

He's part of the government, and he's part of a body that represent citizen voters. He has no "rights" in this case. He has duties. If he's charged with crimes, he has the same right to defend himself in a court of law as any citizen would -that's equal protection under the law. What you seem to be advocating is that Ronny Jackson is above the law.
