:doh pot meet kettle.
What a disgusting thread.
That is your choice...You take the word of and old corrupt senile politician....I take the word of the guys in the field.......
"As I crossed the median I saw one of the Iraqi civilians, who was standing in the center of the line, drop to the ground," Dela Cruz told investigators. "Immediately afterwards another Iraqi standing by him raised his hands to his head. I then heard other small arms fire and looked to my left and saw Sgt. Wuterich kneeling on one knee and shooting his M16 in the direction of the Iraqi civilians."
Sure maybe someone innocent got hurt.....Those things happen in wars
but to condemn these guys before any facts have been presented is outrageous....
You would expect someone like Kerry to do it (and he did) but not and old war horse like Murtha.........
No one is saying there were not a few bad apples that did those things but you can't paint everyone with the same brush...........My ship came back from a 10 month deeployment in the South China Seas and your commie friends were waiting for us at the gate, cussing and spitting at us.....We did not commit any atrocities...Hell we never touched land in Nam........
THAT is my point! The actions of a few bad apples taint all the good actions of 99.99% of the rest of the military. If you hated those protestors, and they were spitting because of just a few bad apples, then why wouldn't you want those bad apples desciplined to clear your name?
Maybe in your mind they do but not in mine..........I myself never did anything against innocent civilians when I was in country or off shore on a ship yet when I came back I was treated like **** to by your breathern and I will never forget it.......
:doh pot meet kettle.
What a disgusting thread.
really, explain how so, so you don't look like a lying partisan hack. I've taken fire for my brothers and sisters, and am appalled ap people like murtha, and ADK's cavilier convictions of innocent troops.
"cavalier convictions"?

:doh Ok, I'll give you another chance. What they hell are you trying to say here? :doh
I'm not going to defend Murtha's comments about the Haditha massacre, but I will say one thing:
For people to claim that he put people in danger is quite ****ing silly. Do you people think that insurgents in Iraq are paying attention to the New York Times, NBC or FOX? Do you think they spend their days reading our newspapers scanning for something to be outraged at? It's just silly to claim that the comments of any politician other than somebody highly visible(like the POTUS) would actually reach the ears of insurgents on their side.
Please keep the hyperbole to a reasonable level. Thanks!
Look, we may think the guy is dispicable, but so is this post.
I already know the answer. Of the 8 Marines, only 1 was found innocent. 6 of them had their cases dropped, and 1 is still facing charges and a trial.
So unless you have evidence to the contrary, your previous statement is false.
I'll go slow for you... You are cavilier with your slanderous lies about honorable men, you would much rather see a soldier convicted of a capital crime, whether he is guilty or not, as long as it scores political points for you.
slanderous lies about honorable men
"The taxi's five occupants exited the vehicle and according to U.S. and Iraqi witnesses, were shot by Wuterich as they stood, unarmed, next to the vehicle approximately ten feet in front of him," said a report by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).
“We can’t say those guys didn’t commit a crime,” said Michael F. Noone Jr., a retired Air Force lawyer and law professor at Catholic University of America. “We can only say that after an investigation, there was not sufficient evidence to prosecute.”
... ordering his men to "shoot first and ask questions later." The interview includes Wuterich insisting he perceived a threat from house 1 but saw no gun fire from that house and that he saw no insurgent enter that house. He suggests he saw the dead family in house 1 and proceeded to assault house 2 based on a guess that the gunman may have entered that house. The Marines knocked on the door of house 2 and when someone came to answer they fired through the door killing what they saw to be an unarmed man. They then assaulted the house and killed the family inside. Wuterich believes now that there was probably no threat to begin with.
Ah, see how much better it is when you actually say what it is you're trying to say?
Ok, you really do have to slow down for me here. Whose "lies" are you talking about? Surely you're not calling your "brothers", who testified how they witnessed that SSgt kill those Iraqi civilians as they stood by their car with their arms up in the air, liars? Are you?
Are you saying your "brothers" lied when they wrote in their report:
Or are you saying your other "brother", a retired Air Force lawyer testified:
Perhaps you're saying that that other "brother" of yours, SSgt Wuterich who is still awaiting trial, lied when in a 60 Minutes interview in which he admitted to this:
Or, are you saying those little 13 and 9 year old kids were lying when they described how the Marines cold bloodedly murdered their entire family? Yeah, they're probably cold hearted liars by their ripe old ages, ehh?
Or, are you saying that "I" am lying about what alllll those "brothers" of yours said? That would mean that all those articles and videos quoting those people as making those statements would be in a vast anti-military conspiracy with little old me to "besmirch" your "innocent" "brothers"?
Please clarify this for me. I'm sure we're all confused by your strange claims.
Or... could the real truth be that you just don't like someone like Murtha or me speaking the truth about a few of your "brothers" who just weren't up to the standards the rest of the military lives by? Hmmm?
Are you in a coma? :doh
"my breathern"?
I get it. You just want to whine and whine and whine, right? Ok. go ahead. :doh
Right, one must slow down and speak in smaller words for you. Noted.
I'm saying your cherrypicking your story to attack all of em.
See you were a tank jockey, so you don't understand combat.... he perceived a threat from house
That's all he needs. You have the rest of your life to win a gunfight....
i'm just saying you like to pick "facts" that match your agenda, and ignore other facts that show you to be full of it as you are usually.
Truth? the fact that you weren't there, nor are you privy to all the information and you convict them based on your crappy politics....
"crappy politics"? Here's what is "crappy" about this sad story. SSgt Frank Wuterich was due to get out of the service. He was an instructor in Hawaii with absolutely zero combat experience. But, like so many little boys who only get to "play" soldier, he wanted to "see war". So, they sent him over to Iraq. Because of his rank and time in grade he was made a squad leader. He was now responsible for the lives of other men. They could have been you, or your brother or son or a close friend. He was now responsible for their lives.
He probably got all shook up in his first fire fight and lost it. I'm sure he noticed the difference between faking it, in his Hawaii training classes, and the real thing. He lied to his superiors, several times, about what happened. He killed those men next to their car straight on. Those men never tried to run away.
This guy had no business being in Iraq. His superiors should have known this. They probably had their hands tied because those idiots of yours in the white house thought we could win this ware with just a few battalions. This was the bigger picture Murtha was trying to get across. But, BushCo, and people like you, didn't want to hear that they... oh God... made mistakes!
I await your clarifications.
Wow can you be any more disrespectful to people who chose to serve in combat for thier country? I mean we all cant be tank track repairmen at the back of the support company.
idiots of mine? Wow, you really are something arent you.... You have it all figured out.... You hear the story you want, the story that apparently wasn't all that true (you would see more convictions if it were) and you, just like your dirtbag dead rotting corpse murtha, foam at the mouth to convice ANY soldier, and belittle the military you once proudly served.
I pity you, it must be a miserable existance for you.
In other words,
... per usual,
...... you have nothing to provide us with as far as "facts" go here... right?
Thank you for that verification.
Murtha falsely accused Marines of killing innocent people, the Marines were acquitted. Murtha was a fool.In other words,
... per usual,
...... you have nothing to provide us with as far as "facts" go here... right?
Thank you for that verification.
