Didn't see this yet. If I had to guess why the FBI would raid the home of a corporate Democrat, I would guess corruption. We'll see. It's a good thing Dems don't run progressives in those areas, otherwise they'd be in trouble.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said in a statement Wednesday evening that it is doing a "court-authorized" search of the Texas home of Rep. Henry Cuellar, a moderate Democrat.

Since political bribery is legal in the US, it's possible he went outside even those egregiously corrupt lines.

Someone who is legally bribed by corporate money to enact and protect a corporate agenda, rather than those of the voters.

There are some RWNJ sources that are already framing this as retaliation against Cuellar because of ... things.
 
My understanding, based on anonymous but highly reliable sources, is that this issue had nothing to do with Cuellar directly and, instead, was due to the discovery that Donald Trump planted fake evidence at his residence.
 
There is insufficient information to make any kind of conclusions.. yet. All we know is that the FBI had gotten information they find important enough to raid a sitting congressman. Since it is also his campaign office, I suspect it would have to deo with campaign finances.

We also know that Cuellar has been critical of the Biden admin border policy so, in an effort to get the SOB back in line, it makes sense that an FBI raid would be warranted.

He's saying that there are no corrupt politicians (e.g. Trump, possibly Cuellar), just politicians looking to settle political scores. In other words, he operates under the assumption that the government is a tool for political retribution, since that's would do in a similar situation.

It's a pretty cynical way to view the foundations of modern society, but here we are.
 
Speculation coming out that this may have to do with campaign finance laws - his home is also his campaign office, but no confirmation being right now. FBI tight-lipped

foes. Very soon we will see a breaking news story from CNN showing a early morning raid of Rep. Henry Cuellar's, home live on CNN! Do not cross Biden!
