Don't forget, this was a murder/SUICIDE. So it goes in the suicide column.

the guy who did the shooting needs the death penalty to stop others from doing crap like this
Capital punishment is not a deterrent.
They don't care, and they don't research sentences before committing the crime.

According to the article, he gave it to himself.

So in a murder suicide we're going to kill the person who committed suicide again?

It is a deterrent but it doesn't deter enough people

1. Because they don't appreciate when punishment is coming their way
For this reason, I think all executions should be televised and also all school children need to experience (for a day at least) just how bad prison is

2. Hot blooded crimes, where people just don't think about the consequences of their actions.

Another disregard for human life post?
no, cast again. the real disregard for human life are the anti gun fanatics who try to use the deaths of innocent as a bludgeon against the rights of gun owners

How is using incidents of shootings to get laws passed to ban guns (with the aim of reducing those shootings) a "disregard for human life" ?
