It's not uniquely American - the idea goes back to biblical times and Roman times, the phrase "Noblesse Oblige" was coined in the 1830's - but the US has long claimed that is a value it supports. When is the last time you heard the US base a policy on it, credibly - or under trump at all?

JFK said in his inaugural, "...let both sides join in creating a new endeavor, not a new balance of power, but a new world of law, where the strong are just and the weak secure and the peace preserved." Another way trump is the anti-JFK. Hey, Ukraine, give us some dirt on Biden, and it's all loans, and half your mineral revenues, and kneel, and say thank you some more. One word: Gaza.

Are you saying Hamas is weak and should be protected?

Hi, Craig234.

As you well know, what politicians say and what they do are often at odds. They are us, with but a single special talent: that of getting elected and re-elected.

Regards.

A Trump sycophant recently said on Fox the poorest should just be killed.

How stupid. What needy children would be available for Trump to rape?
