And that is how Republicans manipulate ignorant, clueless voters. Repeated propaganda.

And the way the media works, Republican officials constantly saying regulation is bad is put into stories and repeated countless times, while stories about good regulation does are very rare.

And that's how many, many voters form an opinion about regulations. No information, no rationality, they just 'heard it' over and and over that regulation is bad, and were persuaded by repetition.

There is big money available to spend on repeating the propaganda that it's bad, and very little 'good government' money to spent publicizing examples and arguments that it's good.

And that is an ongoing failure of our democracy. Many voters, if asked why they're voting how they are, will say they're voting Republican because 'regulation is bad', not understanding basically anything about the issue, and how corrupt it is, and how harmful, and how they are manipulated.

What's the answer? Most people read media sources that they like the messages of, so they'll not tend to hear 'the other side' even if it were published.

There is no apparent answer. It could take limiting the amount of money allowed in elections and on propaganda, and tax dollars spent to compete with the truth, and those things seem unlikely to happen.

The regulation of abortion clinics are exempt from this philosophical view.

Unregulated capitalism is bad but very profitable

Research working conditions of the guilded age

Or.the environmental damage of the first half of the 20th century

More recent what.the same corporations did to environmental conditions in China with no regulation

You're right, but this thread is about the use and power of 'the big lie' technique, repetition, to build support for the view 'regulation is bad'. As an example - feel free to add other applications of repetition, or other propaganda techniques used to persuade people 'regulation is bad'.

The best possible government is the least possible government. To hell with all the liberals that want to control every aspect of our lives.
