Declaring war on private schools and vouchers
Putting corrupt people in high places, despite their pledge
Suppressing conservative speech
Not letting Republicans participate in legislation, despite their pledge

Aren't you glad you "voted for change?"

Compared to the alternative? I'm very proud to have voted for change.

So I am right to assume that you are on the record defending these things you've typed out: the suppression of free speech, breaking promises, being partisan, empowering corruption, and declaring war on the only kind of schools that aren't abysmal failures?

I just want you to clarify so I can use this against you later. ;)

Same point to you. Please specify which of these things precisely you are defending so that I can have you on the record.

To do that, I'd have to agree with your mischaraterizations.

Can you give better detail into each one of those and state how they were specifically created by democrats post 2006 election?

Specifically:
  • Enormous tax hikes
  • Sabatoging Iraq
  • Putting corrupt people in high places, despite their pledge
  • Stripping workers of basic Constitutional rights

No dingleberry, I'm on the record AGAINST those things. You know, answering your poll question.

You shouldn't regret thigns from the past.

While I think that most democrats are a bunch of subhuman slime (as are most republicans--it's really a thing against politicians; but there are some shining exceptions on both sides), I do not regret the last election.

The only way we can expect to not be taken to the cleaners is for neither party to own all of government.

In 2008, I would like to see Dems in the white house and in both houses of congress. Give them a couple of years to reverse the damage the Republican dominated government has done, and then put at least one house of Congress back in control of the Republicans, so any new laws or measures have to have very broad support.

Ya, that's pretty much what I hope happens too. Although I wouldn't really mind if the Republicans took back one house of Congress in 2008 as long as the Democrats win the White House.

that's aquapub for you. I regret the 2004 election not the 2006.

But if he said that, our underwhelming support for the Bush administration might depress him.

These one-sided "Polls" are really meant to be ego-pads. For himself and all of the other Cons on this site

What are the frivolous investigations?

Fake investigations into status quo non-events (which Democrats are almost always far more guilty of).

National Guard service, coke story, Dennis Hastert, Tom Delay, Valerie Plame, firing prosecutors for political gains...

ALL of these are things that Democrats are far more guilty of, some of them are outright lies, and some of them are just non-issues.

  • 3 Putting corrupt people in high places, despite their pledge
  • 4 Stripping workers of basic Constitutional rights

1 Democrats are planning a massive tax hike (in addition to repealing the Bush tax cuts for small businesses)

"a new Democratic budget proposal assumes a $400 billion revenue jump over five years without adequately specifying where the money would come from."

washingtonpost.com

2) Democrats have proposed numerous ways to force defeat on our troops now that they are starting to succeed (huge drops in violence~30% last couple of weeks)

Pelosi Backs War Funds Only With Conditions - washingtonpost.com

FOXNews.com - Democrats Plan Bills to Withdraw Troops From Iraq by Fall 2008 - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

Democratic bill would have troops out of Iraq by fall 2008 - CNN.com

3) Harry Reid, new Senate Majority Leader-took 4x as much money from Abramoff as Tom Delay and unlike Delay, won't give it back.

The William Jefferson (the guy with cash in his freezer) has been appointed to a prominent Homeland Security post.

Nancy Pelosi has far more skeletons in her fundraising closet than Delay did, yet remains in high position.

There are many, many more.

And Democrats campaigned on this being "the most ethical Congress in history," which would turn around the (fictional) Republican culture of corruption.

4) Democrats are trying to strip workers of their right to vote for or against unionization (unionization is when unions take over a job site, violate everyone's right to free assembly by refusing to let anyone work who doesn't fork over a portion of their paycheck to the union, which goes straight into the pockets of Democrats) privately, without the notorious coercion tactics of unions.

"Although the title — Employee Free Choice Act — sounds benevolent, the bill is just the opposite. It would take away a worker's choice by doing away with the right to private ballot election."

U.S. Department of Labor -- Remarks at the International Franchise Association Convention, Las Vegas, Nevada, February 27, 2007

Yes, I understand the definition of frivolous.

National Guard service, coke story, Dennis Hastert, Tom Delay, Valerie Plame, firing prosecutors for political gains...

Delay, yeah he didn't do anything wrong. Valerie Plame, just bcuz a law might not have been broken does not mean the tactics of the administration towards those who were against the war aren't f&cking dirty and underhanded, maybe even shameful.

ALL of these are things that Democrats are far more guilty of, some of them are outright lies, and some of them are just non-issues

You see, I don't go by the "my party right or wrong" retardation so I'm gonna have to say that they're all f%ct. Two sides of the same broken coin. It's just that Cons are in the spotlight now so the focus is on them.

The democrats are doing absolutely nothing now in the congress except wasting time with stupid investigations when we are in a time of war and there are so many important things to be done.....

Typical Con. Bashing the Democrats when they have only been in office for a few months.
So many other important things to do? Thanks for pointing that out! I agree, they should be impeaching Bush by now!

NP, I think your 'Submit Reply' button is stuck.

Considering the alternative, of course I'm glad I voted for change. Now if only we could change Bush's entire presidency, I'd be happy.

We have a lot of work to get America, back to being America. Despite all of your BS choices, it will not be easy to return democracy to America. The NeoCons have really created some serious problems for us to deal with.
You may try and create smoke and steam, but in the End it will be disapated as smoke and steam, and America will imerge from the Right Wing Rubble.
