What is Bruce Allen thinking?
"Rumors and speculation have surrounded the Washington Redskins and franchise left tackle Trent Williams for days.
Williams didn’t show up to minicamp and the rumors suggest the reasoning ranges from financial to others. Either way, the Redskins electing to move Williams would have big ramifications on the cap.
For the most part, moving Williams would provide big cap relief for the Redskins, as Spotrac explained above. The dead cap numbers are a small price to pay for the massive return the Redskins would undoubtedly get for moving a player of Williams’ caliber.
Then again, it’s hard to imagine the Redskins would ever want to move Williams in the first place. He’s going to need a new deal now as opposed to later, but they aren’t equipped to lose one of the NFL’s best offensive linemen at a time they’re trying to break in a new franchise quarterback like Dwayne Haskins."
Here’s what a Trent Williams trade would do to Redskins’ cap space

The Redskins have not yet won a game in regular season, and Trent Williams is still holding out.
Injuries are significant both for the offense and the defense.
A change in attitude of Redskins Management toward injuries might help spark a winning spirit.
More studies could be funded for better preventing football injuries.
Redskins management could take a more active role in developing studies to help prevent football injuries.
The attitude for Coach Gruden seems to be that doctors are licensed, so they should not be questioned. Providing health care for athletes can be regarded as a developing science, so that mistakes by doctors can be put in a constructive context.

The intensity of the play on the field during the football game is a big part of what makes football exciting for the fans. Football injuries occur as a result of the intense play, but Injuries are not necessary to make the game exciting. There is a risk of injury, during the intensity of play, but injuries are not a necessary part of the entertainment value.
Kirk Cousins, Quarterback, when he was with the Redskins, found the Redskins exercises for injury protection to be inadequate, and did additional injury prevention exercises on his own. The Redskins seem to have a high percentage of injuries, and it seems Redskins management could be putting more emphasis on injury prevention. Are there seminars or workshops to which Redskins medical staff could be instructed to attend?
Part of Trent Williams holdout is a criticism of he Redskins Medical staff. Management has to run a business, but holding a star performer to a contract that is below his actual worth, seems to be reducing team spirit. Spirit is important for intense play and winning. Stars should be given special treatment, when misunderstandings have occurred. Trent Williams was a team captain, and has helped the Redskins win games, and keep games close enough to be exciting football. Good football business is finding ways to keep the star players in good spirits.
The Redskins seem to be a team subject to serious injuries.

Change begins at the top, imo.
As long as Snyder is making money, major things won’t change, coaches and players will come and go.........I expect Gruden to be unemployed before season’s end.
Snyder may not validate Gruden’s return ticket to DC!
I recall that Colt McCoy beat a good Dallas team one time. It was actually the defense that won the game, with more Blitzes than usual.
McCoy showed real toughness in that game.
Since the Redskins have a number of significant injuries on both offense and defense, there is a chance that the training exercises led by the coaches, are inadequate to create resilience, and avoid injury. Is too little time spent on stretching, compared to practicing plays?
Is it the responsibility of the medical staff to provide coaches with information on stretching and resilience exercises?
Is the Redskins medical staff providing the latest options for injury reducing exercises?
Are the Redskins injuries the fault of the coaches, for not implementing the advice of the medical staff?
Would the Redskins coaches be more successful, with less injuries? Would the Redskins win more games, if they spent more time devoted to injury prevention, and less time on fancy, complicated plays?
What coaches are available, to replace Gruden, who could lead the Redskins to more wins, and less injuries?
Is the Reskins management under-funding the travel and training of medical staff, needed to keep up with the latest strategies in sports injury prevention and recovery?

Rumor is Jeff Bezos is looking to the Washington Redkins from Dan Snyder.
Unfortunately, I doubt the NFL will let him in. He's too rich and powerful.
s the Washington Redskins offense ran back onto the field, ready to take the victory formation, quarterback Dwayne Haskins was taking a selfie with a fan. That left the Redskins needing to trot veteran Case Keenum onto the field to take the final snap.
