I just think you need to move away from the NAME
"Wolverines" AND
anything to do with John Milius, because as it turns out, Milius is a hardcore fan of "Vova Putler".
Now do you understand?
I met Milius back in the 1980's when he was friends with artist Jim Ganzer who lived next to my boss, surf film producer Hal Jepsen.
That entire stretch of Topanga Canyon Blvd was dotted with people like that, artists, surfboard shapers, surf filmmakers and screenwriters.
Milius was basking in the warm glow of success with his surf movie "Big Wednesday" and was just finishing his work on "Apocalypse Now" and he fit
right in with the surf guys.
He looked, acted and sounded like any hardcore longboard riding American.
Somewhere along the way, as he aged out of active participation in the surfing culture, he got it into his head that America had weakened itself enough
that it was open to Russian invasion and he wrote a script about how a bunch of Colorado kids decided to go up against the Russkies.
And then a few short years ago he tricked himself into thinking that somehow the Russians were actually the good guys.
Like so many in this country, he was taken in by Trump's swagger, refusing to believe that Trump is a carefully crafted con man showing us an illusion.
Milius is now the guy who wants to invite the Putler into our homes and our very lives.
I wouldn't be surprised if his next film was about someone like Russell "Texas" Bentley.
Bentley says he's gonna help the Russians "de-Nazify Ukraine"?
Funny how fascists seem to like calling everyone else Nazis, even Jews.
By the way, a little background on our boy:
'I will return to the USA in a tank to free the Americans'
