I was discussing this with another reactionary a cople of years ago. To paraphrase his position;
I'm proud to have the privilege to stand in line for hours, anyone who votes by mail is taking the easy way out and are lazy Americans...

Personally, I like finding more efficient ways to get stuff done.

No, it is about not having to worry about getting to the polls if you live in a place where the polling is far away from you, you have transportation issues, if you live in a red state where they pulled that cute plan of reducing polling sites or if you have an employer who insists that you vote on your own time and it isn't feasible to get to your polling prior or after work. It is for seniors to be able to get to the polls as well.

For many years prior, for those states with early voting, shorter lines had been a side effect, but is no longer the case. But early voting was not enacted to create shorter lines: to give Americans the ability to vote

I guess that reactionary doesn't understand there are people that can't stand in line for hours due to other commitments or health reasons.

Did it ever come out what party or potentially who they voted for in the most recent case with the people that voted absentee and then went back, and early voted also, which also implicated poll workers?

Where is the proof that it's more often Republicans than Democrats? You seem to be ignoring that

You and another poster made the claim that it's mostly republicans. I've yet to see any proof that that is the case.
 
I kinda wish early votes were just called "votes."
 
Not record numbers.

Just the voting method changed.

2020: many voted early by mail.

2024: nobody votes early by mail in GA, but many vote early in-person.

If turnout altogether will be higher (6 million) than 2020, we'll only know on election day, or when the votes are counted.

I respectfully disagree Herr Branson and I do find it interesting an Austrian seems to know more about this than the rest of us Americans.

Turn out is turn out whether it be by mail early or in person early. And more turn by either method is a good sign for democrats.
 
Turnout was extremely high for both parties last election. So many odd things have happened since 2016 I wouldn't count on any history as a guide.
 
Just saw a Georgia news report: Over 1.8 million people have already voted in Georgia. 25% of registered voters have voted already.

Woohoo Georgia! Massive turnout!
