Recession warnings pile up as shutdown wraps up fourth week

That's a problem then. I'm not going to pretend that I'm not alarmed by the damage Trump is doing. Nor by the 40-ish % of people who still approve of the damage he is doing.

What damage are you talking about? The country is at full employment and the economy is booming. If you are afraid that the shut down will harm us in some way, tell Pelosi to stop fighting over an insignificant sum of money and work things out with Trump. You wont, because you would rather see a recession than a compromise. Just say that and save me the trouble of having to say it for you.

That's the opposite of fear-monger, where do these idiots get these stupid ideas...right wing media?

The ****ing WHITE HOUSE put out the ****ing predictions.
1.3% drop in GDP per TWO weeks.
Oops, they conveniently forgot contractors and the ripple through (basic things).
Turns out actuals showing it at 0.1% PER WEEK.

At that rate, if we go for months, AS TRUMP HAS PROMISED HE WOULD, we're talking about a significant percentage of GDP...all because Trump wanted to shut down government as a way to negotiate for his Wall...the same wall that Republicans in the Senate already passed spending WITHOUT including...and who are too scared to do so now because Trump reversed course because of right wing pundits.

Not to mention the hardships to those 800K employees, and all the people down-streaming depending on that government business.

He did: in Atlantic City. Reason: he put people he trusted in charge instead of people who knew what they were doing with running casinos. Result: bankruptcy.

I know. I was being sarcastic.

He's done **** FOR the economy and untold DAMAGE with his tariffs, tax bill and, now, this shutdown. All built on the lie that immigration is a crisis. It's a serious problem that needs addressed, but it's a crisis only in the minds of tRump and his followers.
